Listen. People saying hair tangled up curls limp. Really not taking care of the hair. I use the Janet collection human hair. I sleep in a long satin bonnet. Every morning water mouse. Tryna be extra cute gel. It’s actually not that much work. Takes like 10 mins. Wash it every two week and condition the human hair. Boho knotless needs human hair care but it’s really not that serious. I have no tangles. Hair curly and pretty AF.

SAME! BEAUTIFUL...VERY LOW MAINTENANCE. MY HAIR IS GORGEOUS BOHO, GIDDESS KNOTLESS, HUMAN HAIR CURLY WITH ALOT IF CURLS LEFT OUT.

I recommend doing the twists with these curls. The curls don’t go limp even with the friction and them wrapping around each other. I think the problem with the braids is that they’re meant to be flat and neat, while the curls are a loose effortless messy look. It’s like slicking natural hair in a bun daily, eventually the curl pattern goes limp. I personally used the brand POSE for the curls (only $30 a pack)and was able to maintain it for 2 months.

The curl pattern makes a difference. Start off with a tighter curl so that over time as the curls drop you still have a curly look vs starting with a loose curl and as they drop over time they look a mess. Curls drop period. Yours are cute

I could not agree with this anymore 😅😅 I really thought this style would last a month to six weeks and by 2 weeks I was re-doing the front. It is soooo high maintenance & I really wish it wasn’t because its sooo cute

If you use synthetic hair for the curly pieces, try using some fabric softener and water and either twist or use a perm or flexy rods. The curl should come back.

I think we have to remember that anyone with loose hair would have to maintain their hair daily.

You did a great job! I honestly like it with the curls more relaxed, it has a lived in natural look. Is the problem less with the style and potentially more so the quality of Janet hair?

Thanks for the honest review. I want this style for my 2wk vacay so I'll just use beach curl crochet hair for the curls. They hold up well during and after water activities and dry fast too.

I had some done with blonde hair with the synthetic boho curly hair and mines did the same thing ….. my real hair grew a lot and I keep it in for 2/1/2 months …… I then crocheted new boho curly hair in the braids and it was cute but not the same as having the curly hair braided in but this hair style is so pretty to me

I loved my boho braids. I used deep wave human hair. The only issue I experienced was shedding. Hair was everywhere. But because I used 3 bundles, you couldn’t tell

If you can do it yourself, it’s worth it. If you don’t, make sure the human hair used is good quality.

Thank you for this. I have been having the same issue and I've only had them a week. I paid too much to be having issues and I have Janet human hair as well. I paid $80 a pack, and I have 3 packs. Then was charged $270 to do them. Not worth it.

Sorry It dont look bad....and im the type of person that will go home and take out braids the same day if i dont like it.

I agree. I paid over $500 for this hair style and it’s only been two weeks and it is not holding up! I think the human hair being added is low budget. I suggest you bring your own hair.

Exactly. I mean human hair requires a BIT of maintenance sure, but it looks pretty good after she put in like 10 mins of maintenance. And like even with human wigs they have their death date. But she should do box braids alone for a Zero Maintenance style.

I did a lot of research and found that moose was definitely not something you should use. I’m seeing that oil sheen and conditioner. Keeps the fluff 🤷🏽‍♀️

Just to be on the safe side, I would buy 2 packs of the curly human hair, so I can use one first, then once it looks old I can take the curls out and crochet the next pack

I did this style, and I didn't like it because, as you said, braids are supposed to be low maintenance. The hairs sticking to the braids and having to always separate got annoying. And the curls fell. I would not do this style again.

Im not even gonna hold you, ima stylist myself and sometimes I get lazy and don’t be wanting to do my own hair. So I be going right across the street to my African lady. And if I want the boho look, I crochet them bitches right in my braids lmao. But your hair still looked good. I feel like they look better the older they get ❤

I knew this style wasn’t as wonderful as it would seem. I’m a stylist and I knew the work that goes into doing this style to me just isn’t worth it. Trying to keep those curls in between the braids looking good would be far too much work on a daily basis. I Don’t care how good quality hair you use the curls are going to go limp and lifeless after a bit. The friction between curls and braids that’s just what’s going to happen. I Don’t know who wants to work on all those curls everyday. The way we did human hair braids back in the 90’s is far easier to maintain because you can just brush them out condition and rinse the ends of the hair or even your whole head. The curls between the locs work much better to me because it’s meant to look messy.

The style I used to get back then was called a Braid Weave. Human hair was braided into the hair 1-2 inches down and tied off with a slip knot. Lasted 2-3 months and was able to wash and condition.

I got boho braids the other day, Ive been keeping it bunned up because the human hair has been getting matted after a day. The curls is not popping at all. Ive been doing all the tricks, nothing has been working... should have did my freetress hair for the curls. About to be ready to cut out this hair and latch some synthetic pieces.

Synthetic is better tbh jus use fabric detergent and water mix, and use that to de tangle it works

Have you seen the Got 2 b glued hack? Apparently you can apply the got 2 b glued gel to your curls right after you do the style and it will dry in them in place and curly then you won't have any issues

It’s human hair of course you need to refresh them your hair is very pretty you did great.i get it’s your preference . All you needed to do was put mouse in everything boom 30s fly.. synthetic doesn’t look as good nor last as long

$100? I would use synthetic braiding hair and deconstruct a Dominican curly wig and use a latch hook for the curly pieces.❤❤❤

I got this style, 100% bulk human hair for braiding, and did everything was told to do. Hair still tangled. This style looks good but failed me for longevity. What a waste of money and time. Lasted me about 2 weeks before I just took braids out. This was “MY” experience.

Human hair for this style is overrated. Synthetic will hold a curl better. And you should still wrap your hair or use a braid bonnet. Low maintenance doesn't mean no maintenance.
