My sister was lucky like you w a hummingbird nest last yr. There was 2 baby birds inside so exciting. But sad when they leave. It's like your own babies then they fly away.🙏❤️😍😊

Hi Laura! I love Helebore’s also! I garden in Costa Mesa & love that your local Excited to know about your garden tour, let us know more🥀 Make sure you cover your spa or whatever is below the hummingbird nest with plastic When the babies are growing up the let go outside the nest & everything gets pretty messy & hard to clean up😝 It’s a joy to watch them grow up & fledge Talk to them during that period & they tend to stick around

Glad to see you back! I hope to see your garden on the tour. I find my hori hori knife quite helpful in getting things out of pots. It slides around the edge, can cleanly cut roots and can be used to poke at the soil to give a bit of squeezing space to pull out the plant. Poking a stake up through the drainage hole helps too. Good luck!

I love hellebores too! I have several and every time I see one in a nursery I have to hold myself back from buying it. Regarding plant names: plants have many common names, such as columbine. The botanical name is Aquilegia coerulea. This particular columbine in you yard is a named variety called Kirigami rose and pink.

I don't plant directly in my expensive pots, I use plastic liners. I hope the tree and pot survive❤ glad to see your new view, love your tours, so inspirational.

@@laurabeegardening recycled from trees I've purchased, garden center pots, my brother inlaw is a gardener and he's gotten some for me that literally look like trash cans, also a lady visiting from Australia, I meet in a garden center told me about planting my trees in garbage pails. I end up throwing away many many tools 😆like my knife!🤣🤣 I purchased it at Target last year Target just seasonally brought them in It’s a Harvest garden knife by the company Threshold Hope you can get your hands on one. Are your climbing edens planted in the ground or are they still in container. What type of fertilizer and soil do you use for your beauitiful climbing roses What type are growing on the arch?

Hi Tess! My climbing Eden’s are planted in the ground. I mix organic compost into the soil and I add Espoma fertilizer for roses 🌹

I’m also on high alert. My friend lost a baby due to her chewing on yews in the yard and we had no idea there were poisonous plants the yard. So now I’m hyper aware. Love your garden And really enjoy your channel. Happy Gardening. 🌺🌺
