The way you play d-beat is to me, the "classic" expression of d-beat itself. This video is really a good example how timing the crash and the kick make the song so much more powerful and nuanced. I program all my drums one hit at a time and I really appreciate your lessons and demos they are very helpful! Cheers

Thank you for your comment. I’m glad you’ve found my lessons informative too. Yes with this I wanted to make it as authentic as it was played on the recorded track. It was a great feeling to play it with 3 or the guys that played on the very original too!!

Stock Feeder, I've also been programming drums for demos for a band that plays the D-Beat... Are you putting the hits on the grid- or making your own swing/groove manually (off the grid)? Cheers, punk!
