Spiffy Crochet Necklace and Surprise-Giveaway Closed
In this tutorial I will show you how to make this easy necklace. You can add a pendant or charm on it in the center or you can leave it as it is. I show how to do the charm and also how to attach a toggle closure to the ends.
The yarn that I use is ZZ Twist by Lion Brand. It is 100% acrylic yarn. It is light and nice and crochets up beautifully.
I bought this yarn online but you can now find it at Hobby Lobby stores for sure. I do not know where else it can be found.
I bought my charms on Ebay a long time ago. The tree charms I could not find anymore but these are similar on Etsy.

The bronze charm I used I also can't find online anymore. This one is similar on Etsy.

The jump rings are just basic ones you can find at any craft store. The toggles closure and the slip closure are also things you can find in the jewelry section at any craft store.**None of my jewelry items here are hypoallergenic and are just basic metals.
The giveaway is open until May 30, 2019 (at 11.59pm Mountain Time) and a winner will be announced in a video on May 31, 2019.
THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. See Winner Video, Winner has two weeks from the date of that video to claim their prize. Happy Mail/Letters welcome and will be featured on the channel in video!

I just love this pattern! My mother passed away July 14th 2016. She was cremated and we were given a little bit of Ashes to make jewelry. I have her ashes in a beautiful sterling silver heart that I've always wanted to make some kind of crochet necklace for wearing it. My first attempt because I didn't find much help online at the time was with jute string. Although the design I created was appealing to me, the jute was so itchy on my skin. That necklace has been hanging in my bathroom on a necklace rack all these years. I often dreamt of how to make it into a beautiful crochet necklace but never tried again until now. Knowing that you made this video 3 years ago, I feel like it was made just for me because it wasn't there in 2016. I used some beautiful red yarn, that was my mother's favorite color and as I stitched along with you, I was going to attach the heart early because yours looked bigger than I wanted to make mine. Imagine my surprise when you stopped to attach your charm at the point I was going to stop! I've been making jewelry for over 10 years, so I had my own clasp and I attached it to the yarn before I started my project so I could integrate the clasp as I stitched. I reinforced the attached clasp as the next row came around so it is doubly crocheted into the necklace and very firmly attached. Thank you for sharing your talent with us and I wish you all the best for 2023!

Hi, I've never seen a crocheted necklace like this, but I'm certainly going to try making it. Thank you for sharing, and for being so generous.
I have made crochet bracelets, earrings and necklaces with smaller yarns. I’ve used sock yarn that had no wool from Premier. Thanks for the video!
Lovely idea. And you explained it so nicely and meticulously. Thanks a lot sister.

Hello Juhana, sorry for the delay with the response. It only took a bit of yarn
