The bell can spawn symbiotes if in that part of the story

I feel like games such as this one, ultimate Spider-Man, and the TASM games should’ve spent more time in the oven. Some of these are already great considering how tight of a schedule they had to make these games, so I can only imagine how good they would’ve been if they were developed for 2-3 years

As years go by this game becomes more and more appropriated. (I think) This game doesn’t deserve the hate and it’s a hidden gem. Shame and disappointed that this game will not have a sequel or anything else at all.

Most definitely won’t have a sequel but a remaster wouldn’t be out of the question if Microsoft acquires activison.

@@DisMan42 Are you sure it's the exactly easter egg? The fact that the game uses resources from past games is not necessarily an easter egg at all. Here's an example of that green and purple crown graffiti at 2:17, which you can see half to the left before the picture appears, in which case would you also attribute it as an easter egg to the Spider-Man 3 psp/ps2/wii version of the game? It's there too. A minor detail, but still.

Fun fact: during the missions with the hidden symbiotes, the citizens that do turn out to be infected will still cheer you on when you use the Black Suit or have Black alignment.

oh yes, I remember this game. This game makes most Spiderman fans think that Venom/Eddie is Peter Parker (Spiderman) Arch enemy. And the ultimate spiderman game tho of course this was flatly rejected by spider man comic fans, and clearly spidey comic fans chose the green goblin as spiderman Arch enemy.

Here's a history lesson for you True Beleiver! Venom had been Spidey's arch-nemesis from the late 80's to mid 2000s. The story Marvel Knights: Spider-Man re-established Green Goblin as the Wall Crowler's number 1 foe and also ruined Venom by giving us Angelo Fortunato and eventually McGargan as the second and third Venom.

I might be wrong but I thought I read that this game was originally supposed to be the Spider-Man 4 tie in game but turned into this when the movie was cancelled. That’s why I think it has some of the same assets from SM3

If they are refferencing Norman Osborn on billboards, it dosen't nessarily mean he's not the Green Gobilin, for we know he could be plotting another scheme against Spidey behind closed doors.

Well, actually this game probably takes place either within the main 616 continuity or a timeline that is very close to that one and it is set during the New Avengers storyline, right before the Civil War. There are several nods at the comic book events in the game which suggest that is the case (such as that superhuman registration act billboard or even some of the conversations between the characters) but the biggest evindence is the Avengers Tower, where we can see Sentry's Watchtower as it was rematerialized atop it, just like it was in the comics at that time. So based on this information, Norman Osborn should be in prison after being exposed to the public as Green Goblin by Ben Urich, where he continued to conspire against Peter by forming alliances with other villains, the alliances which would then transform into his version of Thunderbolts and then finally, into the Dark Avengers during the Dark Reign storyline.

@@ozyyy009This game dosen't fit well within the 616 continuity, because Venom dies in this game, not to mention, eddie dosen't have the symbiote at this point in the 616 timeline, he's instead in the hosptial dying from cancer. It's likley similar events happened, but not in the same universe as 616.

​​@@jakeproven256yeah I know, normally it should've been Mac who had the symbiote at that point. So unless there is a good explanation for why Eddie has it (there isn't and there won't be) it's best to treat it as a different timeline, albeit being very similar. But still they were heavily influenced by the comic book runs of the era when they made this game so aside from some certain contradictions I think we can still assume other parts are similar to that era of Marvel comics. I think Norman at this point isn't Green Goblin anymore whether he is in prison or not, and he's operating from the shadows as you said in your original comment.

If sentry was in this game he would have cleaned house in no time

love how spiderman literally roasts goblin and hobgoblin every chance he gets

I think the unfinished train tracks are supposed to reference the scene where spiderman stopped the train from falling off the unfinished track

It affects none of them, it's it's own suit that affects the Red Suit for whatever reason

@@SpiderBen if you’ve read the Sensational Spider-Man comics you see that suit becomes Spider-Carnage. I’m guessing that when you use the Symbiote suit for the other costumes it just looks like the regular Symbiote Suit?

@@SpiderBen The Spider-Man comics I mostly read when growing up was: Amazing Spider-Man, Sensational Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man, Peter Parker: Spider-Man, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 and some Ultimate Spider-Man. Peter Parker, Ben Reilly and Miguel O’Hara were my favorite Spider-Man.
