I remember how much that shit creeped me out when I first saw this movie in theaters as a child. Just seeing Hary look at Gwen and than Peter as the gears turn in his head and he slowly puts to and to together. Honestly say what you want about their version of green goblin but I think this scene was masterfully done.

One of the best performances from Dane DeHaan! He really nailed it with the Green Goblin!

As soon as the green goblin showed up, the entire tone of the movie shifted from elevated danger to much darker. I had this feeling in my gut I couldn’t see. Definitely classic Spider-Man from the 90s versus green goblin and then later on half hour. I got nothing but love and respect for this movie. Always have, always will.

Nah this movie failed in several ways story wise. In general it makes the original look like a masterpiece lol. Don’t get me wrong the new suit is amazing but that’s all I’ll give it. The movie fails to setup his relationship with Harry by settling for a sudden and forced friendship scene that feels weird as hell. It could’ve been a flashback to them as kids but they instead take up that slot with his now very important parents (they never were and that was completely fine). Spider-Man has no regard for civilian safety letting people get trampled just so he can get his jokes out. Electro’s story is shit, and his electric eel origin is shit (never forget electricity fixed his tooth gap) and his reason for becoming a villain made no fucking sense at all. Peter shouldn’t have visited Harry just to tell him he wouldn’t give him his blood it’s pointless. Also if they were going to adapt “The Night Gwen Stacy Died” they should’ve had it happen much earlier in the movie as after it happens, the movie kind of just ends with him being completely fine after the tragedy and having a cool rhino fight we will never see finished. Sinister Six teaser shit and that’s all. There’s a deleted scene where his dad helps him cope but of course it’s deleted because it’s a superhero movie and the best scenes are always cut lmao. The sequels it was trying to set up sounded atrocious too. Aunt May movie hype! 😂 Real talk, Andrew Garfield is an amazing actor who deserved a lot better especially being such a huge fan of Spider-Man. Sequel ain’t happening anytime soon tho lol.

The intro sequence for tasm 3 cuts out to Memories or visions of Gwen falling with an emotional tune, then we see Spider-man's mask eyes being broken reflecting his loss and Gwen's death as a mirror. Peter wakes up with nightmares about Gwen and Ben's death, he looks up to his window in the night and finds Gwen's portrait later on. He smiles looking at her then becomes sad. The movie takes place from the moment Spider-man fought the rhino. Peter now is struggling with Gwen's loss and paying his rent. He tries to help aunt May at home and overworks himself fighting crime as Spider-man. He later on stumbles with the Venom Symbiote and bonds to it. My main villains would the Spider-Slayers from Alistair Smythe and Chameleon. We come to know that Norman Osborn is not actually dead and the chameleon faked his death so he could do his shady plans. The chameleon uses Peter's weakness for Gwen Stacy as his main weapon and sends The Spider-Slayers after him. Meanwhile, Peter is a lot angrier with the venom Symbiote that he ends up crippling the bad guys he fights. This is my initial pitch for the movie

If we ever get a TASM 3, the story will be very dark. In no way home, Andrew stated that he became rageful and stop pulling his punches. That means he was fighting to hurt or even kill his enemies. Which in this case, if he ever fight the green goblin again, Spiderman will surely kill him.

Probably the saddest part about this Peter Parking losing Gwen is how hard he tried to protect her. I almost feel like he was most protective of his "MJ" when comparing the three, which makes it even more tragic that he fails to.

1:58 What a golden shot! I always loved the screen play & CGI work they done in the amazing series. Andrew deserved much more than this script. Wish they rebooted the storyline as well.

I'm so glad we had 3 spider mans to see the variations between them. I think this one hands down fights the best. Agile and spider-like

​@@burstig5732 With Tom I feel it's more how he's smart as both Spider-Man and Peter, the way he uses his webs are in a way where he efficiently uses them, shooting structure points to hold a ferry, or using them as traps to stop drones, and as Peter he uses basic school chemicals to make stronger web fluid, and he's able to use Stark Tech easily, and also apparently build Computers out of dumpster scrap.

I appreciate how Spider-Man’s battle with Electro is on the electrical grid - literally the hub of pure power and energy. The frontier of technology and advancement. But here Spider-Man is doing battle against the Green Goblin inside a dark clock tower with rusted gears and metal cogs falling and crashing down like something out of a gothic pulp novel. The atmospheres perfectly reflective of each respective antagonist.

I really love the amount of effort Dane DeHaan put into the Goblin character! Harry is crying inside while he's smiling and laughing on the outside. Really unnerving. I think they should have done that with any kind of evil clown character. Because this reminds me of that common trope with these kind of archetypes, something I like to call: The Fool. Its one of the most relatable, intriguing, and recurring figures in the world. I don't see the Green Goblin in this category, but its safe to note that Dane DeHaan's performance, here, is what made me go back to that specific characterization: he is displaying something called "The Sad Clown Paradox," where comedy can act as a defense mechanism to remove supressed feelings of rage and aggression. People may respond with laughter at the clown, yet harbor feelings of pity, fear or repulsion - envoking ambivalent reactions. Some people, in fact, suffer from coulrophobia - the overwhelming fear of clowns. In this day and age, clowns are a constant source of horror in books and movies. Perhaps this is because the modern clown's role is always the same: to entertain others by being the subject of laughter, and he is not always successful at it. The clown has to sacrifice his well-being by always having to put on the same face, and play the same character. This one-sidedness can take its toll mentally, and the clown slowly becomes enveloped by his shadow, the dark side of his personality. This is what I am seeing in Dane DeHaan's performance as the Goblin. If he was playing The Joker, he would have nailed it with the Sad Clown Paradox I have described. But, you never know when DeHaan will in fact play The Joker.

Bro I love how expressive andrew garfield's spider suit visors are in TASM 2. Even though they don't move, you can still tell how he's feeling, and that's truly amazing.

One wants to keep Spidey alive to break him mentally and physically, while the other wants to exterminate him like the insect he is. Other Top 5 reasons: · No Way Home would actually have a SINISTER SIX. · This would be the first film to feature a live-action Hobgoblin. · Harry would actually be cured from the very beginning due to the Goblin's disease being non-existent in the MCU. · His showdown would be against Tobey's Spider-Man, because Harry found out that if he kills the original then there wouldn't be any other Spideys to exist, Andrew's Spidey and Tom's Spidey would perish if Tobey's Spidey dies. · Harry would attempt to brainwash Ned Leeds to test a modified versi7on of his "dad's" Goblin-serum.

How Dane DeHaan's Hobgoblin would look: In contrast to Willem Dafoe's purple hooded-sweater and green battle-damage goblin-armor; Dane DeHaan would be seen wearing an orange hooded-raincoat and navy-blue goblin-armor instead of the army-green prototype-armor shown in this clip.

I ain’t gonna lie but I love this green goblin. Don’t get me wrong William Defoe green goblin will always be the best top notch. But the green goblin of TAS just showed how he turned into the goblin, skin change, hair, teeth, and ears. Originally after Gwen passes away Peter brutally beats up Harry and nearly kills him but then decides to spare him.

Green Goblin looks terrifying.

Something I just realized is, the suit automatically activating a healing protocol to *stop* the serum from killing him implies that the suit is all he really needed to survive in the first place

@@yasink331a random idea just hit my head: i think it would’ve made a better ending for TASM 2 if in a final fight, Peter not only defeated Harry but actually accidentally killed him, he doesn’t realise that at first, then he goes diving for Gwen and saves her, after a few moments Peter realises he left Harry there then he sees him lifeless. -> Grief and sadness. And not only this would feel appropriately emotional but this saves Gwen and creates a better opportunity for future projects like city hating spider-man for killing a man or smth.

I like this darker version of Harry/goblin

For me, Willem Dafoe will always be the true Green Goblin but Dane DeHaan proved that he was no slouch in the evil department and delivered an epic performance. If i was making this movie, i would have had Harry Osborn become Green Goblin at the end to help set him up as the main villain for Amazing Spider-Man 3 where you could have had all of the last half that we got but as the whole movie and more which eventually ends with the death of Gwen Stacy. This movie had issues but Dane DeHaan was definitely not one of them, in fact he was one of the true highlights

I never saw the Amazing Spider-Man movies purely out of nostalgia for Tobey Maguire. Now that I've seen these, I wished Andrew Garfield got at least one more film to make a trilogy. They're very different from the Raimi flicks but I don't hate them.

Am I the only one that thinks when spider man said let her go, instead of harry saying something boring like, “ok,” he should have said, “very poor choice of words,” and then dropped her. I think it would have been an phenomenal little crossover.

i feel like this would be too cliche tho

I love how TASM Spidey’s movements actually have that uncanny, arachnid-like look. I think even Stan Lee said that, in his mind, a man crawling up walls and such should be a bit jarring and spooky, to paraphrase. Gives me “The Fly” vibes in the sense that he’s actually a human-spider mutant freak who looks sort of creepy when he’s moving around like that.

Among all spider man vs green goblin fight scenes, this one is 2nd best for me

The music and fight is so good

This is a cool fight because it shows how Spider-Man uses his web and agility to do a finishing move on Harry which he was planning from the start.

I was hoping they would of made Harry’s face more deformed due to the illness like if he was wearing a mask. But either way this movie wasn’t that bad but could of been better.

One side there is the Raimi Green Goblin and then there's this Abomination 💀

Best Spider-Man movie

I love how this Spider-Man doesn’t need cgi lenses to look like he’s showing expressions because you can see n tell his eyes are wide open like “who the hell is this guy?” Made him curious Fun fact: spiders tend to be curious on what food they are having. Thats why most don’t attack their preys till they know what it is. Andrew Spider-Man always gave me real life spider vibes. First Tobey n second is Andrew

As a fan of TASM, also growing up TASM was MY spiderman. No. The acting it great but the actual movie is horrible, confusing, and rushed.

I'll be honest. Harry is the real main antagonist of the movie in my opinion. Electro felt more like the secondary antagonist to me

Say what you will; this Harry was darker! And though his use wasn't on a greater scale; he was along the lines of William Dafoe, imo

The first time I watched the movie, I heard what I thought was a snapped neck until I looked closer some time this year to see what her cause of death actually was, turns out it was her head hitting the floor hard. I couldn't bear to watch that sad and innocent death. 😣😣😣

He should've been Hobgoblin instead at least, we've only seen the Green Goblin in Live action but not the Hobgoblin

Imagine they built this up, Harry is the Green Goblin, trying to just break Spider-Man, make him wish he was dead (William Dafoe qutoe indeed) By the end, he put's two and two together, it makes it more messed up!
