@@wetsocks5055 It's not Spider Man 2 particularly, it's the state of so called "next-gen experiences" where the average PS4 game still looks like it could pass as a PS5 game. In the PS3 generation, me and others joking saying "This looks like a PS2 game" was a thing. Now you don't really see that, because the generational leaps get smaller and smaller each passing gen, therefore what is the point of getting hyped and buying a new console for full price?

I do wish that the NPC’s would talk to Spider-Man instead of just laughing.

I am playing the 1 and getting tired of the sidequests, I did it at the beginning cuz it was fun and now that I'm clear on the game mechanics I'm just advancing in the story, doing some when it's convenient now that I've unlocked research tokens it's a little more varied than just backpacks and landmarks, it's getting repetitive though

So amazing what Insomniac did with these games man. You really see how much love and care was put into these games. Some of my favorite Super hero games, only behind the Batman: Arkham games. (And since rocksteady is complete shit now I prefer Insomniac)

no, they couldn't. Miles Morales was difficult to play on PS4. And the second part is on an even larger scale. The game would have been possible if the game's graphics had been downgraded to Spider-Man 3 the game levels.

Yeah, just better graphics, better fps, faster loading times and improved photo mode. Spider-man Remastered is literally the same game, same story, same things to do. I think they also added 2 more suits but I'm not completely sure.

They should let u take the train from the street and if ur swinging use the web wings for fast travel. Also the hits sound more brutal in the first one 😂 some of the finishers don’t have the same oomph as the original ones without the dramatic sound 😂

Graphics aint everything. Proven by how shallow and at times boring the narrative of Spidey 2 was. I've played both and I can confidently say that PS4 Spidey makes you feel more like Spidey. The quips, the gadgets, the sinister 6 boss fights, a prettier MJ, that age appropriate Peter face model... Also, gameplay-wise, PS4 spidey actually felt more challenging and forced you to think smart with a stealthy approach. I never once bothered about using stealth in spidey 2. They should have given that web line and multi-takedown in the first game

Just cause you don't like the story doesn't mean everything in the second game is automatically bad. Almost all boss fights in ps4 were generic and forgettable, especially the sinister six. Mj is not prettier in the first game. Her appearance and also personality makes her way more attractive, actually looks like a woman instead of an overgrown teenager who acts like one too. stealth is better in the second game, because you have wall takedowns . It was less present, but still better. Spiderman ps5 is more challenging overall. Can't believe you brought up boss fights Spiderman being weaker in the second game does make you feel less like spidey tho...

These people are beings with extraordinary powers, so the only way to humanize them is to give them a compelling and relatable personality with strong writing in the story. The fact that the writers committed character assassination by making Peter both physically and characteristically weak just to put a woman and a black man on the pedestal is evidence of unnecessary meddling by a 3rd party who gives no shit about the core audience

Also, I brought up boss fights coz SM 2 ruined my immersion by making us fight Yuri, and I had the symbiote suit by that time. Even without the symbiote suit, making Yuri a challenging boss makes absolutely no sense 🤦‍♂️

Mj was definitely being pushed in the last game , but in this game she’s not really undermining Peter in any way. Did Peter get shafted , yes. Could the story be better also yes. But they aren’t sacrificing Peter to increase the value of other aspects that they want light on. Objectively it’s a better game than the first , I doubt you will find much enjoyment playing ps4 except for a more consistent Peter

I played both games back to back to compare and can confirm Spider Man 1 looks better. SM2 looks like its upscaled to 4k or something even in the fidelity mode it has some weird blurriness and textures not being as sharp. On top of that SM2 dialog, story is a step backwards and then they added all that LGBT stuff to the game. I seriously don't understand the PS fan boys who just eat up any title sony drops and refer to it as the "GAME OF THE YEAR!"

Factually Spider-Man 2 looks better. Why do you think it’s not on ps4? The dialogue and story is way better in my opinion. It’s way deeper, and it’s not as simple. Spider-Man 1 had pride flags all over. It’s not a big deal, it’s New York. It’s supposed to be close to real life. What are you talking about ps fan boys eat up all titles? Do you think you are the all seeing eye? Everyone else is an npc in the matrix? Literally no one thinks this way. If the game is good people will like it. If it is not, people will not like it.

The first part is better not because of the graphics or ray tracing, but because of the plot, the second part is not the same

@@tbreezy7180 gadget wheel sucked. Sure the selection was wider, but overall the gadgets were worse, and the wheel interrupts combat. Wdym slow mo dodge? Suit powers were super unfinished, and made no sense storywise. Peter doesn’t move “way slower” It’s a little difference, and makes sense because he is bigger then miles. Peter is pretty much the same speed as before.

Am I wrong to say that the shading on the suits is better on spider man ps4? Edit: Only in my opinion. Yall don't have to agree Edit 2: okay the opening is better and more nostalgic on spider man ps4
