I think this was the main reason most people disliked the 'new' Peter. I mean, you tell a story with all these sweet moments and u identify with these characters and then BAM...next year the same MJ is kissing a Peter with an all new face. That just doesn't sit well.

They went through all the effort to scan a new face and they would throw all of that work out the window if they made that an option. I prefer the old face but don't really mind this one.

This honestly worked perfectly for me. Instead of writing Mary Jane out of the sequel, they use it to take Peter out of miles’ story for a little while. The “working vacation” they get really feels earned cause they both work their butts off for new york

Hearing Peter & MJ calling each other honey and saying ‘I love you’s is really heart warming, like finally! I was getting tired of them having relationship problems and just want them to be together and happy.

I like how they're both obviously using the "joke" to test each other if they're ready to get back together. Pretty sure they both passed the test.

playing this while have a big grin in my face listening to their convos

Now this is what I like seeing in relationships, a mutual respect and understanding for one another. That being said though I thought this version of MJ was overall great, there were 1 or 2 scenes where she was a bit dodgy but after those points her character improved a lot which I enjoyed. Then the ending(main game) was just amazing, it was pretty much all you could ask for from MJ, like she even said her signature line. Even in the DLC she was still brilliant supporting each other throughout and it was nice to see both of them acknowledging their love for each other here. Hopefully they have more moments like those in the sequel or even better still, get married.

I'd love for Peter and MJ to get married in this game series. I also really hope we'll still get to do some MJ missions, since playing as her really felt like it was showing her importance as Spider-Man's partner, and it was awesome seeing MJ doing her share at getting the inside Intel on things were being kept secret.

Actually looks to be a pretty fast way to get around since he’s not waiting till the end of his swing to jump. He’s pushing all that momentum forward, not up. Definitely not as flashy tho.

Great detail they added that they had Yuri Lowenthal record different readings of his lines to have him speak louder and more strained when he’s swinging around buildings compared to when he’s just standing around and can speak normally.

I love this version of MJ. The movie MJs kinda suck, one was always screaming for help and the other one was too edgy. The only movie love interest that was okay for me was Gwen Stacey

Yeah, this MJ feels right. She’s confident and can stand on her own, but she’s not arrogant and awkward like MCU MJ. She also doesn’t need to be constantly pampered by Peter like Raimi MJ. This MJ is awesome, I like her being a strong woman that doesn’t have to rely on Peter 24/7.

I believe Peter goes with her for the holidays and that's why he's leaving Miles to be the only Spider-Man temporarily. The benefits of having multiple Spider-Men. I wonder if they're going to show how Miles' suit was designed. "Hey, Pete. How did you think of this design off the top of your head so quickly?" "Oh, I didn't. I saw an alternate universe you wearing it." It would be very beneficial to Marvel if the people who haven't read the Spider-geddon comics became curious and bought the comics after playing the game.

My single ass is so jealous 3:00. Btw, they're cute, I hope they don't break up in the second game and be better married.

In my first playthrough I kind of loved MJ & Peter, but replaying I started to see some issues with them but I honestly think the DLCs fix that so well. Even though MJ kind of annoys me sometimes, they have a great dynamic. Can't wait to see them in the next game:))

That was earlier in the game when they both didn’t communicate the lengths of what being general partners meant for their crime fighting. MJ wanted to do more, getting arguably WAY too risky (especially that Sable base one, Peter is 100% right in his rebuttal, that was a choice, not simple chance), Peter was stuck in his ways of “only he can save everyone,” even if he didn’t tell himself that. His actions spoke louder than his personal thoughts, or his words.

wow they are really opening up the story by sending her there. I wonder how it will all look in the sequel. Silver Sable is from there - and doctor Doom I think - and now Spider is connected with Silver Sable. It's always better to have tension between romantic characters in any story.

I love how in Miles Morales he goes with her to Simkaria. (Idk how to spell it). It’s a nice Easter egg bec you wouldn’t know that whole deal if u didn’t play the DLC’s. It’s adorable

It's pretty nice to see the love between these two characters. But I always thought that in the sequel Peter will be injured pretty badly with his fight with venom and Miles will actually save Peter from a close death. And we've seen this Peter close to death a couple of time's for example his fight with the sinister six easily they could've killed Spider-man but Otto spared him. When he fought Otto for the first time after defeating Mr negative Otto could've killed him but got distracted with Osborn. In the new Miles Morales game we see Peter having a hard time fighting Rhino to eventually getting knocked out and Rhino could've killed Peter if Miles wasn't there I feel like this is foreshadowing that Peter will die but not in the sequel and this is where my theory comes in. In the sequel Peter will fight Venom and Peter will be close to death again Miles saves Peter from Venom just before Venom could kill Peter and Miles and Peter will both defeat Venom at the end leaving Harry to die of his disease. Peter will soon be afraid of death after his fight with Venom and he'd want to spend as much time with MJ so he decides to marry her. In the 3rd game MJ will get pregnant with Peters child but will be too afraid to tell him as she doesn't want to scare Peter as he would be scared bringing a child into his world as he is spider-man. Norman will will have a grudge on Spider-man for technically killing Harry. Norman will find out that Peter is spider-man and will seek revenge so he'll capture MJ and will find out MJ is pregnant. He will kill MJ like Gwen. But Peter will some how find out that MJ was pregnant so he lost his love of his life and his unborn child this will leave Peter furious and he'll go on a suicidal battle with Green Goblin and both of them will die in a fight to death.

This is kinda out there for a Peter Parker based Spider-Man. Especially because a lot of context has been ignored here, especially for that Rhino fight in Miles Morales. Peter dying is counterintuitive to all that’s been laid out. Killing MJ is just as bad too. I dunno, interesting in theory, but it’s not a GOOD kind of interesting. Leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

I don't think so. I think it's very possible that MJ took a second trip to Symkaria a year later, and asked Peter to go along with her.

I’ve been thinking about buying this game but I’m still on the fence about it, some of the missions seem to get repetitive from what I’ve seen. I loved the Arkham series and I’ve played most of the older Spider-Man games on ps2.
