Experts have been predicting the next pandemic for ages, not a lot of people have been taking them seriously. We're lucky that a major pandemic hasn't happened for so long... we've had a long dry spell because of modern medicine but the virus' are getting used to modern medicine. I wouldn't be surprised if another illness pops up in the next few years.

American film industry is controlled by only 3 or 4 giant production companies, compared to 100 years ago when there were a lot of competition. They decide what sort of stories to bring in, what sort of marketing is to be used, which ones get priority in theatres etc. The result is hundreds of recycled movies with little creativity. It also brings hive minded narrative in the stories (i.e. never criticize democracy, nato armies, liberal policies etc).

+milton ng What a waste of time. I can't believe how badly unrealistic this entire story is. I can't handle this unrealism. You know one of the most hated things in stories is when people DON'T FUCKING SHOOT!!!!! Yeah, this happens CONSTANTLY in this entire badly written story. There are a ton of plot holes and shit that makes no sense whatsoever as well. Then we have the fact that you play as kids and they manage to do so many things that can't happen. This is a western written story so no shit it's bad. I expected far more than this but fuck me for being such a fool to expect much from the west nowdays.

Thinking about all the comics movies and games, peter has had a hard life for a kid

I love his fluent athletic movements! Pure poetry! The story is very well-structured with justifiable reasonings behind all of the characters' actions and detailed in-game dialogue to further fill the gaps between cutscenes. The designs of all of the characters are exquisite and there's no denying the outstanding quality performances of their voice actors. Ultimately, I'd say this is my top favorite Spiderman game and the best interpretation of our loveable Wallcrawler.

“She’d never admit it, but she was warming up to Spider-Cop” 😂😪

"nothing can hurt me, not anymore" five seconds later he gets electrocuted and passes out.

I like how Aunt May is so faithful to her counterpart in the Sam Maguire movies, even offering Peter Large amounts of money and Peter being extremely reluctant to accept. This why I really like this game, it’s so adds a new twist on the classic Spider-Man sorry but also extends it in a way

Hands down, one of the best single-player games of the current generation. Great job Insomniac!

Beat this earlier today and I gotta say wow. The story was WAAAAAY better than I expected. The ending was fucking amazing too.

How is the game better then the actual movie that is crazy. MJ finally didn't seem like a snobbish bitch and danzel in distress finally had character. Best Otto Octavius i seen in a long time and Norman even was done justice. Im mind blown actually thought it be just another overhype. I seriously loved it beautiful game and great story. I am now actually hype for the next one do to how well this was written and done. Also love you Playground you my favorite game movie youtuber.

The story was surprisingly very good. The graphics were amazing, the game mechanics were great and the boss battles were some of the best boss battles in recent memory. I really appreciate how he grunts when he’s talking to others while swinging. Details like that impress me. Does the sound include the grunts when he’s talking in those segments and just standing still? Also, I wish his voice was a bit more muffled by the mask rather than crystal clear, since the rest of the sound design has been great.

The emotion I felt when MJ motivated Peter to stand up and find a way to combat Doc Oc. Then the incredible music as the camera pans up to reveal the new suit. My god. I never felt more pumped up by a video game than this moment.

I swear man is like looking at a real movie

I love how tactical and well thought out all the design for the characters are in this game, the advanced suit is in my top five Spidey suits of all time list.

A fantastic game with true epicness. But the best part. It took risks. It killed off characters. It made us feel for both the good guy and the bad guy. And that's how good games are designed. They make you feel things.

If I was a supervillain, Spider-Man would take me down so easily, because I would be too busy laughing from his jokes

jay folk those were his old web designs and they could last longer than his new webs but they were weaker so that’s why Peter had limited items in the bags. Edit: also since they were weaker he definitely had to upgrade the tensile strength and time stamp since when he would fight villains they could escape easily.

If I'm being honest, this looks like the best Spiderman game for me, and I don't own a PS4 (sadly). I wanted a game that captured the heart of Spiderman, but holy hell this took it to a whole other level. This is the Spiderman I know and love. I would go into deeper analysis but that would be a super long comment. You won me over Insomniac, I'm going for the PS4. 5:14:18 on to 5:21:25 really took the cake for me.

You know why this game and story is so amazing? It's bc it's not written by Disney. I connect with this Peter Parker so much, unlike Tom Holland where he gets away with a problem almost everytime. It took Spiderman no way home for me to feel Tom Holland Peter Parker and Spiderman.

Yea I cried too. I’m kinda up set that it didn’t show peter having much of a reaction after she passed. When Ben died in the movies, he was devastated and isolated himself for weeks and they weren’t even as close as he and May were.

Yeah instead of that abomination of a cartoon they have on TV currently. Just because a person is young doesn't mean they can't appreciate a decent story line or a character that acts like a semi-adult. Shame they don't have a decent writer that can turn out decent jokes either... I hate to say "Kids today..." thing but Kids today don't know a cartoon with good quality writing. Most of it is 'Teen Titans Go' quality.

That ending with Peter & Otto though. The ending in general but that part makes me cry every time. It’s like he lost an Uncle Ben/Father Figure again but not in the same way. I love those little moments where Peter uses his powers during his everyday life. Like when he broke the door open to his apartment after getting evicted or when he walks out of FEAST and gets jumped by some spooky ghost guys.

The way he sacrificed the last loved one that he had to save many other people spider man is one of the best marvel heroes of all time

I always viewed this as the continued universe from the amazing spidetman, from the resemblances of Woodley as MJ, Cooper as Norman and even Garfield as Peter (pre Update)

No! No! No! I was not prepared for the ending !!! 11/10.

I'm interested to see what people think is the best Spider-Man game ever now. This one is top 3 no question, but I don't know, Spider-Man 2 was really THAT good in its time. I feel like people are overlooking that with recency bias.

@UCv4bJkQe0q6JryoGrAfigFA ya the open world felt pretty crazy when I was younger. In ultimate Spiderman the venom sequences are simple by today's standards but it was the most memorable aspect of the game ( along with the art style) and it's still fun even after all these years.

That aunt may moment touched me so hard. I got memories of my aunt dying. She was 74 and she died of brain cancer.
