Honestly these scenes make me wish that black cat was Spiderman’s main love interest a lot more than Mary Jane. No offense to the redhead but black cat can stand up for herself and she seems just far more of an interesting character. On top of that their romance reminds me so much of Batman and Catwoman so I guess that’s why I like it a lot more than Mary Jane but that’s just me.

She really should’ve been. The only reason they weren’t in the comics, was because she was in love with the idea of Spider-Man and not the person. However here? She’s in love with the person. It’s implied that aunt may knew about her, and the fact they’re on first name basis likely means they dated in civilian form. It’s also never implied that her going straight was ever a ploy, meaning she likely did want to go straight for him…but like a addiction, she couldn’t resist falling back into old habits
