Especially since that 2002 film went through more than 15 years of development hell before it finally got made, with big names supposedly attached. For years we heard that Cannon was making it, then James Cameron was, then Tom Cruise was going to be Peter Parker. Every time I heard the project was cancelled I was so disappointed. Then it finally got made and it was incredibly satisfying. Seeing this movie was like feeling that way again, and I don't get to feel that way too often anymore. Some people complain about obvious "fan service" but I was 100% okay with that because it served the story in a logical way. This was definitely a great time in the theater.
Another thing I love about Andrew catching MJ is that he did not rely on his webs until he was sure MJ was secure in his arms. Even if he failed to use his webs afterwards, he could use his body to ensure MJ would not be harmed.

Anyone notice that Toby and Andrew’s Spidermen both got to sort of “redo” a regret. Toby’s Spiderman regretted killing someone out of revenge, and he sorta got redeemed by protecting Green Goblin Andrew’s Spiderman regretted not saving Gwen, and so he got redeemed by saving MJ in this film.

@@waelmagdy7757 tobey clearly said he got what he wanted.they retcon the story. They did it to fit in line with Tom Holland wanting to kill the green goblin. They did the same with Tobey theme and as well as Andrew theme song. For Tobey they tone down the theme to fit with Tom ritme theme. And for Andrew they choose to use his first theme which was hated by the toxic andrew fan base as opposed to the amazing Spider-Man 2 which was loved by the toxic fan base of Andrew.
Love how each peter acts differently Toby is shown as the oldest and most experienced and most mature one, easily disarming Andrew. Andrew is seen as the most driven, helping the other 2 to the best of his ability. And Tom is shown as the youngest one, still a young kid who wants to do the right thing.

It kinda felt as in you describef them as old, not that old, and young, here's my take : Tobey is the most level headed, has a calm demeanor and doesnt jump right into action without planning things Andrew sure is more energetic, and jumps straight into action , but he knows what hes doing before Tom demeanor is sorta a mix of both, but he does tend to rush into action, causing him to get in trouble, thankfully he can get out of it almost as quick as he get in it

It honestly feels like their the same person but at different stages of life, Tom represents the energetic kid who gained his powers recently and is still on the heroic adrenaline and hasn't faced much setback until recent events, Andrew represents that stage of life where immaturity and maturity collide, being both mature as he has gone through dark times, he doesn't have the heroic adrenaline, but still holds passion for being a hero as he found light through hardship, Toby is like the final end result of all the hardship and growing Spider-man would go through, he is like a calm and restrained man who is still the lovable Peter Parker through humour and good-natured behaviour, but shows deep wisdom and empathy as an older gentleman would for a younger troubled man.
Andrew and toby showing up in the MCU has got to be the greatest theatre moment of all time

"Too much fanservice" This was the best 3 hours of my life! Best experience ever! I screamed, cried, laughed. It was so amazing going to see this in theater
I remember watching the poster of the first spiderman on a newspaper back in 2002. As a kid, I so wanted to watch it but there was no multiplex at that time in Bangladesh. So I had to wait for nearly a year to get my hands on its CD and then watched it on my pc. I find it fascinating how they brought back those memories in such a brilliant way.
You know what I really loved more than anything? The spell actually had consequences. There wasn’t a magic “undo” button in the end, the hard reset happened and left Peter completely alone, and I think that’s something a lot of superhero films nowadays wouldn’t have the balls to do.

I love how the pointing spiderman meme became part of the pop culture references that including it in the spiderman movies brings joy to people.
The final fight between Peter and goblin was truly the best part of the film. We've never seen any version of Peter Parker with that much anger or strength, and we sure as hell haven't seen a parker that bloodthirsty. And better yet, tobey's spidey gets his redemption by saving the goblin

My husband and I had a blast watching this in the theater. And this past January, we were able to meet Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio. I was wearing my Daredevil shirt, with both of them on it, and Charlie complimented it. It was so awesome. The next day at the convention, Jon Bernthal was there (he was there the day prior, but we ran out of time), so I had to see him again. That was an awesome convention

I think the movie itself is actually pretty good, but I really do think that without bringing back all the old characters and tapping into our nostalgia, NWH wouldn’t have been as big as it was, and the nostalgia plays a BIG factor into why people really like this movie.
Everyone has to understand how meaningful Tobey and Andrew’s revelations were. So many recent movies, especially in the MCU have burned us with this type of stuff. Teasing us with potentially amazing characters and then dropping the ball. After all the Ralph Bohners and Trevor Slatterys the fact that they actually brought in Andrew and Tobey how they were was incredible. Not just how everyone wanted them to appear but done in a way that works outside of being pure fan service. It’s why people keep saying even after 2 years how unreal this movie still feels
