Spider-Man Movies Ranked From Worst to Best (Across the Spider-Verse Edition)

Since Spider-Man made his big-screen debut in 2002, there have been a lot of Spideys! And a lot of Spidey movies too, including Tom Holland’s MCU version of the wallcrawler.
So with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse out, we decided to once again rank the Spider-Man movies -- and yes, that includes all the times he’s hung out with the Avengers… Let’s web this thing up!
As always, these rankings have been achieved by consulting with a group of spider-experts on the IGN staff, who voted on their best and worst Spider-Man movies. (And just a note: We're basing the ranking of the Avengers movies on the Spidey-centric portions of those films and how well they served him as a character, as well as how well he served those films!)
So who ranked where in our list of Spider Man movies from worst to best...? Let's start with... The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is surely the worst Spidey movie of the group.

Spider-Man 2 was the Empire Strikes Back of its trilogy thanks to some awesome action sequences and the perfectly casted performance of Alfred Molina as Doc Ock.

No, the empire strikes back has an ending where the heroes lose and in Spider Man 2 Peter ends the movie with MJ and with more strength to continue being spiderman

after beyond the spider verse comes out, the spider verse trilogy is going to be not only the best spider man trilogy but one of the best trilogies of all time and it’s not even close

Spider-Man 2 and Into the Spider-Verse are pretty much tied for me but Spider-Man 2 has the benefit of nostalgia. It’s been my favorite movie for basically my entire life

@@rafaelc.c.the numbers don’t lie though. 95% rotten tommatoes and 8.6/10 IMDb. 680 million against a 100 million production budget for across. Clearly they did something right because those numbers are no joke for a Sony animated film
Homecomig is too high up in my opinion. Across the Spider Verse and Spider Man 2 are tied for my top. Incredible movies.

Into the Spiderverse and Across the Spiderverse are miles ahead of any other Spidey Film No Raimi, Webb or Watts can be considered to be in the same League than what Sony Animation has acomplished here. Not only two of the best Comic Book Films ever, not even two of the best animated Films ever but two of the best Movies in the history of Film. When Beyond sticks the landing it is in the conversation for the best trilogy of all time

They gave homecoming on 8 Out of 10 they also gave across the spider-verse and 8 Out of 10 how does this not make sense if they are side even though they got the same exact score.

Nah, it didn't innovate anything. ITSV innovated. ATSV just followed, took out all the emotion and fun and changed it for more colors and styles to the point they were pointless. Story was meh.
Across the Spiderverse at 6 made this whole list irrelevant

Why my 2 favorite films are the last?
Why would you put Avengers movies in here? Nothing but pad out the list and he’s not even the main lead in them
No Way Home is kinda mid tbh. Nothing about it, from its continuation of prior Spider-Man movies, to the introduction of its characters, to the conclusion of the plot feel like a natural story arc. There’s no growth aside from artificial growth, no character learns anything that they haven’t already learned before. Hell they even regress certain characters in the case of Ock, Sandman, Conners, Andrew, etc.
