I actually haven't seen the movie yet, but I went through the soundtrack and I'm pretty sure I was able to pick out each theme. The cool thing about this theme is that Mysterio has a hero theme as well, and the notes are basically the same as the ones used in this video. In the soundtrack his theme is good guy at the beginning and later it changes to bad, but near the very end, before the credits version, his theme sounds like it might be good again... He might have a change of heart and actually turn good again. But I have no idea because I haven't seen the film yet. lol

Hound I'm sorry, but Kevin Feige announced that they wouldn't use any previously used SM Villains in the MCU. Only new one's will get the time to shine. What if peter and ned have a falling out, which results in a future version of Ned( as the Hobgoblin) coming back in time to try and become a bigger hero than Peter so that he can be more popular. Instead, the present world Ned reconciles with Peter and they work together to defeat the future Ned. I loved the first fight they actually pulled off the special effects well to the point of mastery.It was like a scene out of the comic books when spiderman fought mysterio.

As I hear this, I can notice a piece from vulture's theme, right at the beginning, in 0:13, so I'm calling it: THAT'S ACTUALLY THE SINISTER SIX THEME BEING TEASED! So all spidey's villains will have that same piece at their scores at some point, and the Sinister Six theme will be like an "enhanced" version of that theme... Wait and see...

And he is also a foil of Parker because the two of them represent one key side: Respect Parker is the one who had been working hard and did something to earn the respect from someone as prestigious as Stark. Beck is the one who demands respect to be given but is unwilling to compromise, learn from his mistakes or acept his respnsabilities and is someone who won't hesistate to sink low to archieve fame, not to mention being petty and anooying to deal. I doubt he is being honest even about why he was fired for all i could know, he might had done something that pissed off TOny enough to be fired. A proper hero yet lacking some confidence to set his ground, against someone who is nothing but a fabricated hero.

This is one of the best composed villain themes in the mcu. Not only is there a villain theme, but there's also a hero theme.

If only Hollywood put out posters like the thumbnail. No star Photoshop faces just painted art. Instead we get bland posters with the heros without masks after all we the viewers don't have clue who is staring in the movie we can't read.

yeah it's for dumb contractual reasons. most big actors have stuff in their contracts that says that their face has to be the biggest thing in the poster and such. so artists have to work with lots of weird restrictions like that and the result is awful. still sony released some vintage posters that actually look pretty neat.

@@AlfhartStudios One of the things that Spider-Man has more is identity crisis, he has already though about not wanting to be Spider-Man anymore several times, wouldn't his life be so easier if he wasn't Spider-Man? Spider-Man and Peter Parker can't be the same person, Spider-Man has to take care of Spider-Man's problems but at the same time if Peter Parker is taking care of Spider-Man's problems he can't take care of Peter Parker's problems. Peter Parker and Spider-Man can't be the same person, that's why he is never really able to take care of all his responsibilities.

@@AlfhartStudios that's his character arc in the movie, are people just dumb enough to not get what a character arc is? A character starts somewhere, and then he turns into something else, it's easy to understand it isn't it? I genuinely can't understand how someone doesn't has the capacity to think a little bit about something. And he just died (and that felling was terrible because he knew that he would die because of the Spider Sense), and then he was resurrected just to fight in a war out of nowhere where a guy he cared about died, and now he returned and has to deal with everyone telling him to be someone that he clearly doesn't want to be while having to deal with the feeling of not being good enough to save the person that everyone is telling him to be. Mysterio's illusion sequence was representing his insecurities, that he is just a scared kid with that suit, this being said while he stands in giant statues of the fallen avengers while he is just a small kid from Queens, that he is not good enough, and just as Mysterio said deep down Peter was thinking that he was right. This is a little bit out of character (although it happens several times) but it makes sense.

Mysterio is such a great villain. He is the absolute mastermind. He was able to fool everyone in Peter's class, MJ, Peter himself and even Nick Fury. Because of all this I'm honored to call him my favorite supervillain so far in the MCU Spiderman movies.

He is still top 3 best villains on big screen along with Goblin and Doc Ok. He was super cool in FFH. They showed everything he could do and its was perfect

I honestly think the way they did Mysterio was utter perfection, he was always a favourite of mine as a kid and to see him do everything I’m use to but in a more deceptive manner along with the altered motive to link him more with the wider MCU was honestly amazing! Also, that mid-credit scene had me going “oh fuck” multiple times... Mysterio, you’re now up there with Thanos as one of my favourite MCU movie villains.

Mysterio is probably the best MCU villain just before thanos

During the bar scene what if peter actually told mysterio about uncle ben since he trusted him. Mysterio couldve used this info for the first fight scene. He couldve even played around spideys guilt, saying that it was your fault he died, accompanied with a flashback or the sound of a gunshot. Wouldve been really bone-chilling.

@@Ywing5 And May had a few rings on her fingers, two of which were on her ring fingers. Really REALLY missable detail I only saw upon a third viewing because the rings aren't on screen too long.

@ ik he is not dead. there is no freaking way he took that video at the time. also mysterio didnt pass the control of edith to peter so... he is still in control. the reason i said Even Dead I'm The Hero is because damn that mid-credits scene... he made people believe he is both dead AND the hero of the day

@thaleia s There's no indication previous users of the glasses get locked out when they give another access. That's simply speculation. Peter himself said to Happy in the film that all he had to do was take Edith back to take back control, and the only thing Beck had connected to Edith was the "software Helmet" (which Peter destroyed).

I never thought they could make Mysterio feel truly threatening and scary, but they pulled it off. Probably my favorite bad guy in all of the Spidey movies.

Don't Criticize Films that are good, great even, just because it makes you feel important. In all reality you and other people who only see FLAWS and nothing else just make fools of themselves.

@@AlfhartStudios First of all, Vulture didn't wanted revenge on Stark, he actually wanted to stay out of his way and to be uncovered, this is clear in the movie. Most of Spider-Man villains are usually middle aged men who suddenly get a massive amount of power so they decide to use it to get their own objectives, just like Peter was before he got his powers, one thing that neither one of the past movies represented was that Peter's original objective was to get fame, recognition and money, and not to use it to help people, then Uncle Ben died and he decided to help people, there are several other things that happened to him after this moment that made him what he is today in the comics, he messed up really bad sometimes...several times and he learned from his mistakes, this actually remembers me of when I was reading the reviews of "Carnage: Axis" that is a story with three issues where Carnage suddenly is turned good so he decides to be a hero, and in one of the comments was saying "Carnage learned in three issues what Spider-Man needed 200 to learn", and this is true, that's what makes him a great character. And Mysterio and his crew are into the same category as classic Spider-Man villains, they were outcasts just like Peter was before he got his powers, so what's the first thing that they do when they have the power? They try to use it to get fame, recognition and money, just like Peter did before Uncle Ben's death. I think that a considerably recent issue of "The Amazing Spider-Man" represents it perfectly, in this issue Spider-Man and Peter Parker are separated into two different people, Spider-Man has the powers, the intelligence and everything that makes Spider-Man "special", meanwhile Peter Parker has only the sense of responsibility and that's pretty much it, Spider-Man does exactly what he was doing before Uncle Ben's death, he uses his powers in the most reckless and irresponsible way possible, he controls a giant robot to help him fight crime but ultimately he only does it because he thinks that it's cool, he goes around taking pictures with celebrities, going to talk shows and doing stuff like that, and Peter does...what he normally does, eventually they get back together but I think that you get what I'm trying to say, Mysterio and his crew in this movue are exactly what Spider-Man villains are in my opinion, a bunch of outcasts and unrecognized geniuses with lots of rage against the world that after getting their hands into power are trying achieve their own objectives without caring for other people's lives, exactly what Peter himself would be if he hadn't learned that with great power there must also come great responsibility.

No one will be seated after the doors are closed. It helps maintain the ILLUSION

In comparison to Vulture who was just a guy trying to do business by his own terms, this guy was truly evil, you can just feel it.

Their actions speak just as loud as their words too. While neither villain started out with the intent to kill Peter, by the end, Mysterio took it way further than Vulture ever did. Adrian threatened Peter, dropped a building on him, and beat him into the ground, but not once acted on the threat of killing him because he was more focused on trying to get the tech instead. But Mysterio? He learned Peter knew, trapped him in a continual illusion that was purposefully designed to psychologically torture Peter, watched on in indifference as Peter got rammed by a high-speed train, then even tried to shoot him point blank while hidden. Oh, and had absolutely no qualms pinning his murder on a 16 year old kid that he outed to the entire world.

Amazing -no pun intended- blend of bond villian, mystery, wonder, suspense, action, intrigue and danger with a bit of outer space fantasy and curiosty

what i love about this theme is how it opens as a generic superhero theme, before developing into a sinister version of itself when the synths kick in.

I like the part in 2:29 and above because it just gives this “mischievous” vibe. The soundtrack is really great

If you listen carefully, the starting part of the theme sounds just like the original Spider-Man Trilogy... Not in the melody aspect but more towards the way it's composed It's as if they're trying to pay an homage to it

And it fits to with what Sam Raimi wanted to do. All those Bruce Campbell cameos? Yeah.... not cameos. ALL of them were Mysterio.

Out of most of the mcu villains, mysterio is the most hatable one by far, which is what I love about him. Usually the villains in these movies are just evil, you know they’re bad but you don’t really hate him. Some of them even have their quips and gags that make them charming or somewhat likable. Mysterio, on the other hand’s just a materialistic, greedy asshole, like, can you name any redeemable qualities he has, at all? He’s willing to psychologically torment teens, murder civilians or hunt down children just so he can get all that money and fame. There’s villains like Loki who really charm you or ones like Thanos who you can sympathize with. But this guy, you just want him dead.

Totally. He was so unlikeable but in a way that wasn't forced. Like I can think of many people in real life who could be real petty like that. It made it that much more satisfying when Spidey got him at the end.

Nah, i really like mysterio, he's the best Spiderman villain, he's really greedy for money. But if he was a real hero, he would take down EVERY villain beside thanos and that one big villain for the next Avengers movie (I forgot his name) because Beck will show every villain their worst fear.

This image sums up the entire movie perfectly. Mysterio is slowly pulling Peter apart, while he (Peter) is trying to keep himself together

Can we agree that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy is the best one, 3 incredible movies which progressively got better as they each came out, each topped the last one. I honestly don’t know how they could make another 3 Spider-Man movies after this that couldn’t even be a shred as good as NWH was. They really put their all into this trilogy with so much fan service, each movies tone different from the last and telling a complete arc.
