I agree. I read in pdf every spiderman book up to omnibus clone saga volume 2. Next week volume 2 comes out. Then I get Ben Reilly in March I have Ben Reilly 2. Then JMS vol1 and 2 I have. Then next year 2 more omnibuses between JMS and superior Spider-Man

Man, that's a beautiful cover. I may have to break my tradition of standard covers for Spider-Man non-classic omnis.

Can't wait until next Tuesday. I can't believe I missed the original printing. Even though I have the original comics and the oop Tpb's, this has been number one my most wanted Omni for several years. Even though new Marvel content quality is at an all-time low, their reprint division continues to excel.

Another good looking book from the mighty Mega Print! I’d be happy if all my omnis came from there. Spider-man fans have had a great year with collected editions. Think I’d opt for Dan’s cover out of the two. Thanks Omar!

Omar always coming with the heat for these comic book streets!!!! But aye I decided to keep my first printing cuz this guy don’t have the original scarlet spider suit on and it doesn’t say scarlet spider omnibus like the one I have great overview!!!

Pretty stoked to get this. I really like the DM cover more than the Standard one. I already got the Volume 2 in the recent CheapGraphicNovels "Nick and Dent" sale last month. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll even start reading these until I read through the Clone Saga omnibus books of which VOL 2 won't get here until March. _WHOMP WHOMP lol_

This was one of the first Omnies I got when I started collecting. Even though a lot of people hate Clone Saga, I like most of it as it's the era when I got into comics. Sure was confusing as hell but I didn't care 😂 I would take CS over anything after OMD. What I would want collected next is DeMatteis' Spectacular, Post Clone Saga era, Paul Jenkins' run and of course the number volumes continued

I started reading the clone sage. I just finished volume 1 omnibus. I love this story. It’s really good, but the art did take a hit after issue 400.

This is one of the best Spider-Man stories, around the same time X-men had onslaught going on. Man marvel was killing it back then.

The two stories that got me to completely quit Marvel for several years as a kid 😆 I will be picking all of the Clone Saga Omnis up now though since they are being reprinted so I guess it's come full circle

I think most would say it's one of the best controversial stories. It pissed alot of ppl off from the creators to the fans. Not ending the Clone Saga when it should have been was the reason why Dan Jurgens left the Sensational run. One of the few highlights from this.

Hi Omar. Typically these omnibus sell for $125 USD and $150 CAD. Are we going to see a $25 increase across the board from Marvel Omnibus?

The sudden love for this storyline is like the sudden love the Star Wars prequels get…and it completely baffles me. Still, I’d take these stories over any JMS-present stories.

- Nostalgia is always a factor - Time makes immediate emotions less powerful (ie. “that’s not MY Spider-Man/Star Wars” isn’t as strong for 20 year old works), - Lastly expanded material has really added to Ben Reilly and the Prequels. So the source material has been elevated compared to when it initially came out. Also another factor I think plays a part of it is that at least the Clone Saga and the Prequels were at least trying to be their own things. By comparison a lot of modern Spider-Man/Star Wars materiel has that vibe of “hey remember how cool this was years ago?” Even if something is flawed it’s easier to love it when it has its own identity. Like the Prequel and Sequel trilogy were both controversial but only the Prequel trilogy gets expanded material because the Sequel trilogy has nothing unique to it. Just look at how much the visual design is nearly identical to the Original trilogy. Same vibes for the Clone Saga

We NEED the WEB OF SPIDERMAN omnibus vol 1-4 and peter parker spectacular spiderman omnibus vol 2-5 😊i think that would cover all the issues!! For that beautiful era

The computerized coloring really sucks, IMO. It's like everything after XMen Phalanx Covenant looks so different and off-putting due to the computer colors/inking.

Yeah the mid 90s digital coloring on Marvel books is so garish and hideous, truly heinous and ugly shit...the worst I've seen is in Doctor Strange Sorcerer Supreme Omnibus Volume 3...it looks like some brain damaged kids colored it in Corel Draw.

what issue is the direct market cover from?

Clone saga is out of print and im still needing those before this 😢

I mean it’s the Ben Reilly equivalent of Amazing at the time right? So I’d imagine it’ll be in the Amazing line up until it changed back…

I know how bad the Clone Saga is known to be, but it was the era that existed when I was a kid. I haven't read anywhere near the entire saga, but I'm going all in on these Omni reprints.

I don’t listen to the haters and I have been reading it for myself. For the first time now. I GREATLY enjoyed the 1st omnibus so far. Especially how they showed scarlet spiderman/Mary Jane/doc Oct.

To be honest, I've read it many times and my only problem with it is that it should never have lasted as much time as it did. Marvel's sales pressure forced the authors to make plot decisions to stretch the story that eventually damage the saga's wrap up. And I am not going to say it's is a masterpiece either, yet I don't agree with social media's popular narrative trashing anything related to the 90s, especially bearing in mind some stories published after the clone saga that were utterly awful.

I already have this and am not going to buy an entire Omni just for the cover. But that direct market cover is pretty nice...

When I worked at a comic store in the 90's, I remember no one, NO ONE, liked or bought these books.
