Nothing like a Rob Liefeld story to make me go "wait, what happened" immediately after hearing it walked through in detail.

@@JohnClark-tt2bl so mamy great shows from the 90s still holds up today, they were ahead of their time when it came to creating stories which at the time was new but looking back most stories we can relate today what was told 30 or 25 years ago.

You know what’s also screwed up in that spider-man comic? Juggernaut was there helping to clear debris. I like to see think the whole time he was there that he thinking ‘oh god please don’t anyone remember the time I did this!’

Greg Capullo’s run on X-Force was actually pretty badass once the Liefeld clown got outta the way. Under Capullo the kids started growing up and kicking ass for real.

"Subjectly speaking, how many ass cheeks does he have?" That will be a line to remember. 😂 Comedy gold.

I found this in the 90s...at a thrift store...it certainly was...a comic.

As someone who is into sports batting .666 is not only major league level, it’s hall of fame, greatest hitter who ever lived level.

I'll never understand how Rob Liefeld managed to become such a popular artist. The 90's was weird time.

Dear Lord: I had one issue out of this series forever and I always wondered about this story as well. I still remember the line "X-Force we are leaving" and Spider-man telling the team you want to fight the Juggernaut you talk to a guy who knows how, aka Spider-man.

The sideways thing was Liefeld's gimmick. He famously did an issue of Hawk & Dove in the landscape format, apparently without clearing it with his editor, who had the panels cut and pasted into the proper vertical orientation.

The 90s really were a wild and crazy time to be alive.

It sucks that it took so long to bring back Thunderbird but The Gifted did him pretty good to me also I can tell Tiffany loved most of the art here🤣

I instantly recognized that cover and said "Oh that's Spider-Man #16. The one I had to read sideways." And I also never read the X-Force issues. Made an impression that lasted 30 years.

This was a lot of fun! The thumbnail was funny, Tiffany's reactions were great! The jokes were funny! All I can say is...YEEHAAWWW!!!

The other day I found an old box in the back of my closet. Opened it up and found a bunch of stuff from when I was a kid. I was shocked to find some of my dads and a few of my grandpas comics that I read when I was 5. Kept in a GI Joe toy box was old he man comics and a few JLA comics I got when I was kid. But the comics from my dad and grandpa blew my mind. I had in mint condition first printings of Jim lee’s x men #1, Todd McFarlane’s two part Spider-Man x force, and the death of Superman. I was in shock for nearly a minute just looking at the comics in my hands. My grandfather was a massive comic fan and grew up reading these heroes since he was a kid. As a child I must’ve never paid attention but now through channels like this I’ve learned the history and value of these books. To hold a piece of comic book history that my grandpa once read was really emotional for me. Thank you Sal and the gang for helping me love comics as much as my grandpa did.

Remember the annuals in.....2005ish? They were printed sideways as well and had the staples on the small side.....they called it cinema-scope or Marvel-scope or something

Was just thinking about wanting you guys to cover more x books, so great timing on that one! Never before have I heard of or seen this book, so that means I’m in for a wild ride here. Would particularly love to see Ethan and Ben, or Tiffany’s takes on E is For Extinction, Riot at Xavier’s, The Apocalypse Solution, the Dark Angel Saga, or literally any Krakoa stuff.

X-Force… now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time; before the dark times. Before One more day…

I watch these at night, im so excited for this one I couldnt wait to make a comment. Liefeld, Fabian N., Juggernaut, Spider-man, X-force, Macfarlane, I mean.. This is the Saved by the Bell of comics for me. This is everything I loved growing up.

I had a pair of those jeanco's with the kangaroo on the pocket. They were really comfy... don't try to run in them though

I have those issuses of X- Force. My brother and I thought the sideways thang was so cool... Cable is dope in that run. We never noticed the triangle feet Rob drew until years later.

The main things I always took away from this comic when I was a kid was that Juggernaut's mouth opening on his helmet is malleable enough to warp with his facial expressions, and the panel where Cannonball bounces off of Juggs was the actual debut of the big 'ol 'Spawn boot' aesthetic.

Funny that Cerebro (the X-Men podcast) came out with their long-awaited Juggernaut episode as this is uploaded. Yeah, Juggs and Black Tom are best "pals".
