Gwen's arc starts and ends the story. Miles is unfinished but there is a conflict with resolution (Miles defending his sense of self and reconfirming he is Spider-Man) There's also a huge theme of loneliness in the story.

Interesting little detail, throughout the film Spider-Punk/Hobie sometimes calls Gwen “Gwendy” and calls Miles “Peter Pan”, so contrary to Miles' initial insecurities, it appears that Hobie, like Pavitr, is actually playfully rooting for Miles and Gwen to be together.

Can we appreciate the fact that Pavitr Prabahakar has become that variant of Peter Parker who sucessfully rescue two Gwen from falling to their deaths on the same day . Firstly, he saved his teammate Spider-Gwen from falling, . Then, he promptly rescued his girlfriend Gayatri. Thank God not another "Gwen Stacy Syndrome".

It's incredible how the movie starts in such a dark way, showing us Gwen's struggles, what happened to her Peter, the relationship with her dad but it ends with her finally dealing with her issues and gathering her merry band of Spider-Men to help Miles. The dialogue has been top notch, Miles talking to his dad, his mom, their speeches to him, Gwen's dialogues with her father, it's all fantastic. Spot's story turned very dark, very fast and what started out as a funny bad guy ended as a multiverse ending threat. The fact that Peter and Gwen knew Miles wasn't supposed to be Spider-Man but they didn't tell him, that felt like such a deep betrayal. The Miles of that alternate universe turning out to be Prowler, that was a crazy good plot twist and you deserve all the congratulations for your deductive skills, Magy. Your hype levels kept going up constantly and it was very entertaining to see. Thank you for the great reaction ❤

I was a bit apprehensive when I first saw the trailer for portraying Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 in an antagonistic way because Miguel is a far cry from a villain and he's also my all-time favourite Spider-Man in the comics but the movie did an amazing job for portraying him not as the villain but more like an opposing force.

they always cap on stuff like that for publicity and sales. It took them 4 years to animate the whole movie (They started production mid-2019 and the movie came out mid-2023) . If it took em 4 years to just do that scene, the movie wouldn't be out for another 10 years lmao They probably had a separate team work on the movie until it was complete finished. @@milesmorales1789

I saw the movie on IMAX opening day me and my brother freaked out about all of the Easter eggs. Voice acting was just phenomenal by everybody including Oscar Isaac who did Miguel. Beyond is going to go crazy when it comes in theaters.

The conversation Miles’ mom had with him on the rooftop got me, too. It hit me even more on repeat viewings knowing what was going to happen to Miles later in the movie.

Venom, Morbius, Kraven, Madame Web, etc. are in their own cinematic universe. Plus there's no way they'd have a serious animated character in a live action avengers movie. It'd just look too silly and off putting to take remotely seriously

Great reaction, girls! I could tell how heartfelt your tears and laughter were. Seeing this in the theater was an incredible experience. I especially appreciated your discussion about destiny, and whether it can or should be changed. Mostly, I agree with Magy, for a couple of reasons. First, while I believe that there are some things we can't avoid, I think it's something different from what most people call 'destiny'. Also, regarding the 'canon events' in this film, it seems to me that Miguel can't be completely right about them. According to his theory, any violation of a Spider-Man's story will result in the complete destruction of that universe. But as we've seen, such changes have occurred in Miles' universe, and in the one his spider came from. New York is in bad shape on Earth-42, but neither world is disintegrating, so something must be off with Miguel's theory. (I didn't quite clue into this myself until reading some analysis online.) The final chapter of this story is going to be amazing. Can't wait!

I saw the movie 4 times in the theater and enjoyed every moment, because every time I saw it I found new things and enjoyed more the unprecedented work in animation that we are experiencing and that leaves the bar, even an almost impossible range for another studio. In the last few days I have seen some reactions, but yours and especially Maggie's is the one I enjoyed the most, because it was almost the same as mine, even when she understood that Miles was not in her universe. For more than a year the studio announced that the project was divided into two parts and unfortunately it went from being released in 2024 to not having a date and many point out that we will have to wait until 2026 to see the end of this trilogy.

I heard a theory that he only joined the society to infiltrate it and steal bits and bobs to make his own watches. Makes sense given what we know about him and what we see him do. He's _fairly_ opposed to massive conglomerates and even more so the ones that are so all encompassing and controlling, so it's pretty odd that he'd join in the first place. He may have just been looking for a spark he can fan the whole time

@@Heroo01I think he initially joined spider society because of how cool the idea itself was, and also the technologies allowing you to travel across universes. Like imagine encountering a dude who can literally jump across dimensions, ofc you can't turn down such offer. But shortly then he realised how messed up it all was, so he decided to work a way out to secretly change the order of things. It’s actually genius of him how all this time he seemed to be like a funny careless guy, but in reality turned out to be the biggest threat to the whole regime.

there is so much to breakdown when watching this movie, not just because there is so much to take in with all the animation and lore of the spider people, but also wit the history of miles, hobie and Miguel(Spiderman 2099). something is wrong with Miguel's theory of what happens to his universe. Even more than that miguel is an anomoly more than miles. he wasnt bit by a spider, he has claws and fangs, doesn't use webbing and doesn't have spider sense. miles mentions during the chase on the super train, he says, "are you even a Spiderman?" which is a valid question. he mentions during his explanation that the multiversal web is what connects them and in the first spiderverse movie we see all spidermens spider sense tingle whenever they come in contact with each other which is most likely their connection. I'm curious to see this breakdown in the conclusion of miles saving his father.

Fun(Sad) fact, if you go back to ITSV you'll see that Miguel is right, Miles gets bit, as a result he is searching for the spider the night of the 1st collider explosion, Miles gets caught up in the fight between Peter and Green Goblin, and as a result his Peter gets caught up having to save him, during this time Prowler arrives on the scene, the person who stops Peter from stopping the collider, the collider runs and Peter dies after gettin caught up in the explosion because he was too late to stop it... because he had to save Miles...

This movie definitely went hard. Can’t wait for the next installment

magy, i used to read Spiderman 2099 comic book, it was set in the year, 2099, and they did books for a couple characters all set in that future, miguel's character had a golden ai woman hologram assistant, we saw her in the spider world computer room talking to miguel and other people

Can I point out that beyond the amazing visuals, this was solid story, with character and emotion. Even if the animation fell flat, that was enough to carry the movie.

This movie is on its own level of epic. Another movie that is close to this level of epic is interstellar by Christopher nolan

This movie is breathtaking. This movie is perfect in terms of what I personally want in a Spider-Verse film. Great characters, great visuals, great music you name it. This film's visuals is absolutely incredible and his definitely the most beautiful animation I've probably ever seen in a film. Even when the movie has it's slow moments, things are moving in the backgrounds, and it makes the movie enjoyable 100% of the time.

I'm glad they have a Tobey Maguire Andrew Garfield Spider-Man cameo. The craziest Cameo I saw was Spider-Dinosaur. It's so weird.

I didn't even recognize her voice, but didn't realize Gwen in this movie is voiced by the new Hawkeye Kate Bishop herself Hailee Steinfeld. Needless to say if they put SpiderGwen in live action, she's not going to be played by her voice actor for obvious reasons. I would say Kathryn Newton would've made a pretty good SpiderGwen, but she's already playing Antman's daughter, so that's obviously a no go too. Maybe they'll just keep SpiderGwen in the Spiderverse films and just use the other spider women in the upcoming Madame Web movie instead.

Well I feel bad for Miguel, but in my opinion, who will stop the super collider in the first movie if there's no Spiderman? Like Peter said, it will wipe out an entire universe if it doesn't stop. So basically Kingpin was trying to bring the anomalies which is his family which would destroy an entire universe. Its not Miles' fault that he's an Anomaly, he's just doing what he promised to Peter in his universe, everyone would've died in his universe if he doesn't. If he's an Anomaly, why his universe still doesn't break?

The ending of this film was amazing. I wonder how the writers and director are going to finish this story in part 3.

Gwen's initial development and her dad pointing a gun at her head gave people "who always see the good in others" a reason to justify her by saying that she was thinking of protecting him (truly idiotic). Because in those situations you have to tell the other if they want you to tell them a nice lie, or a dark truth, and let the other decide. Besides that she did the same as Miguel, Peter, and the rest. "If I have a miserable life, EVERYONE will." One of the most selfish reasons I honestly saw in a character who is the "good guy". "I can't lose another friend". She already lost him, in any case, she will get him back (I hope about halfway through or more of Beyond the Spder-Verse, and first that there will be a war of words from one to the other), and then the perfect ship that was at the Bank of Williamsburg (when they're upside down), ironically that's where Gwen is killed in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Sorry for the giant comment, but the movie leaves you certain winks that Gwen "avoided" Miles even in his universe (when he asks how she travel to his universe, and when they're swinging, Miles practically doesn't speak in that whole scene)

I like when they cry(I mean that movie is so good to make people cry)

What's important is not standing by allowing someone to suffer or die because you didn't nothing if you don't get that they don't get the first thing about being Spider-Man
