Introduction of Venom were one of the best episodes in Spiderman animated series. So expectations were quite high. But Sony ruined it with too many villains. There were absolutely no need of Sandman n Green Goblin (Harry). Venom alone was enough for whole movie. I guess this fiasco was enough to stop the production.

I really appreciate you pointing out the biggest flaw in this movie which was retconning peter's origin the main reason why peter does this stuff is because he always remembers that incident with a heavy heart that if he doesn't than the thing which happened with his uncle will happen to someone else.

Whenever I think of Spider-Man 3. That groovy dance scene comes in my mind.
