Magic Johnson Park Used to be called Willowbrook Park ! As matter of fact that whole area all the way over to MLK Hospital is called Willowbrook Technically! Food 4 Less over there is considered the Willowbrook store! The whole area has a couple of different names, Rosewood, Athens, Watts ,Compton, West Compton , West Rancho Dominguez and Etc! Good interview!

@18:20, Magic Johnson Park was originally named Willowbrook Park when it opened in the '80s & yes, it's definitely a Blood park. Ujima Village (home of the Village Town Pirus or VTP) was on the east end of the park. Ujima Village has since been condemned & it's residents forced to move due to toxic fumes as the entire property once was a Mobil Oil Refinery back in the '60s!!!
