Tomato, chilli, basil and crumbled sausage make a mouth-watering combination in this spicy sausage rigatoni. Punchy flavours that all work together SO WELL. Using sausages instead of minced pork or beef in this meal adds extra flavour - due to the seasoning in the sausages. You can also change up the recipe when you want a change by using different flavour sausages.

Thank you for this delicious recipe. Made it today and everyone loved it! The only thing I changed was I went half sausage and half minced pork as we have to eat low-sodium, and it was still really 😋😋😋.
Last night I had a friend over for dinner and made this recipe. We were both very impressed it was delicious 🤤 I added sundried tomatoes for extra flavour and I would highly recommend it

Even though I live in a country with a huge range of sausages the ones in England seem to be more appealing. I haven't a clue what that is in German. I will have to wing it.

Really great recipe. I make something similar and also a version using a cream cheese sauce instead of tomato which still works well with pork sausage meat 😎👍
I love this dish, I add a teaspoon of fennel seeds.

@@Kitchensanctuary No, no. Thank you. I really enjoy cooking, now. Your recipes are easy to follow, and delicious. Years ago I tried using cook books, with mixed results. I will buy your book, from my son on my birthday. Thanks kid! My son has joined me on occasions in the kitchen. Not true, at washing up time, but hey...baby steps.
I've just some sausages out of the freezer to make this tomorrow.

Why is it, I can never effortlessly take the skins off the sausage like you do....I've seen various videos of people doing it and the skin almost just falls off, I'm grappling with them for ages and it's coming off in tortuous little bits!

I don't know. Veggie sausages tend to fall apart and release less grease. You might want to add some olive oil and add your sausages close to the end of cooking.

So good to see you again. A great dish,,,but,,imagine this using Oirish fekkin sausages,,,,Mmmmmmmmmm,,,,Engerlissshhh sausages are awful.
