Not sure who was first with this but kimchi is definately better known in the world than pao cai. I noticed these fake machine translations from Google, in different videos from Mainland China about other fermented vegetables. @@miss_mish Thank you for the detailed explanaition but I cannot agree. This is the same type of cabbage, same technique of cutting it, salting it, making a paste and covering the cabbage with it and definately not brine in both recipes. And if I put it in plastic container can I claim I came up with new recipe coming from Bulgaria. It is definately not sauerkraut although it uses the same principle of lactic acid fermentation. Not sure who was first with this but kimchi is definately better known in the world than pao cai. My point is you can make the same thing with what is available in your country and not make a big fuss about exact recipe and names.
Oh you just made kimchi

So natural so awesome.

Thanks for this video. I'm so appreciate to see a Chinese people enjoying our traditional food kimchi👍 Kimchi is well-known in worldwide as Korean food. It's so obviously true, useless to arguing about it.

This is Chinese style, not your Korean crap. Also, historically, this style Chinese dish was far earlier than the Korean kimshi, to argue otherwise just shows how ignorant you are!

Dunno. At least she had the hashtag of kimichi in her description box. Just google that and you'd instantly find that it's a Korean staple in origin and not Chinese.

@@Rezzmari No, it's Google that falsely translates the word «Fermented» into «Kimchi» ; when a vlogger from Mainland China (using Simplified Han Script & not Traditional Han Script as in the Hong Kong Region and Taiwan Island), puts the automatic captions in different languages other than Simplified Mandarin Chinese. I noticed these fake machine translations from Google, in different videos from Mainland China about other fermented vegetables. Even the English and French title removed the word «Chinese» from «Chinese Cabbage».
Looks delicious!
