er.. no. Victoria's mic was turned down to minimum the whole time, you can hear that when she has a solo line just after she sets off on top of the taxi but it's almost inaudible. Sporty Mel is 8/10 of the live vocal here, as she is the only one who can actually sing

😉 Well over 20 years. The 90s can't be beat. ☺ It was Spice World from 1996 to 2002. They broke up in December 2001. Shortly after that the music channel called The Box which was from 1985 to early 2002 ended. They got bored after the SPICE I'm sure 😌

Victoria slayed that performance! I miss Victoria so much in the 2019 reunion. her deep voice is such an integral part of the spice girls sound. When Geri left the band Victoria was able to sing Geri's vocals without a sweat. The other way not so much. You can see the difference between the two Wembley concerts from 1998 and 2019. Don't get me wrong when they're all together they're the best, but Victoria was and is such an important part of the Spice Girls.

No it did get a lot. It was all over the papers and it was said to be the most talked about performance of the night and they hit #1 on iTunes! Plus their albums were in the top 10 and 20 on iTunes after this awesome performance! The studio version of this 2 song version is on the 2012 Olympic CD album =)

I watch this performance about once a year and every time, without fail, it always manages to make me cry. They were my everything as a little gay boy in the 90's, and they will forever be the greatest group of all-time.

And THAT is the definition of ENTERTAINMENT. THAT is how you wow a crowd.

When sporty spice got out of her taxi and did her little sporty move when they first started the wannabe song I got teary eyed 😭😭🥺🥺😫😫 my childhood!!! Love them sooooo much!!!

Legendary performance. Mel C nailed it with her iconic amazing voice and athletic figure. She is a Goddess (3:50)🤩.

I’m reading Mel B’s autobiography at the moment she a broken lady whilst performing this.Her book is heartbreaking but heart warming too.Love the spice girls a lot have done from the beginning 🇬🇧

I respect the fact that the other girls want to do the new tour, but I also respect Victoria in wanting to end it on a high. This performance was flawless, and at the olympics? That pretty much wraps up an amazing career for the group. Now their legacy will be remembered with the final section being a reunion tour that is missing a member and doesn’t live up to their 2007 reunion tour :/

MIKE well you are wrong because the Spice Girls 2019 UK & Ireland tour was more successful than the reunion tour back in 2007/08 .

Peter Szecsi it might have been more successful, but it looked way messier. They were missing a member, the choreography and overall presentation was bad. The sound from what I was told was horrendous during many of the shows, and it was raining during most of the dates as well lol. That on top of Geri losing her spark and trying to be all regal instead of the ginger we once knew makes it a missed opportunity imo. No amount of attendees and money earned can change the fact that it wasn’t a complete set.

@@2OOPoVstrechnoy It was bad when they were missing Geri, and now it's bad when they're missing Victoria. Spice Girls are FIVE, there is nothing to argue. There will always be something missing when one of them are.

I bet the safety briefing was insane, moving cars with people dancing everywhere lol.

i am always thinking when seeing olympic openings like this about how the north korean team may feel watching it live, because i could imagine them literally being in awe of how "high tech" the rest of the world must look compared to what they are taught back in the DPRK. for example london in this video or pyeongchang in 2018 with a literal drone show and the led light shows!

Mel c absolutely smashed this,they all did it was amazing!but Mel c is my fave and love how she was jumping around and didn’t have a care just enjoyed herself x

mel b had such a sweet and smooth buttery voice in the 90's....her voice has cracked up to the extent you can't recognise she is singing..
