Sir I have a problem facing whenever I recheck my power doctor can't decide what my Power is 2 time I got perfect power checkup so I comfortably I wear my glasses that was- first time my checkup result was-> RE -0.50 65° and LE -0.25 90° {2013- 2022} and second checkup result was-> RE -0.75 70° and LE -0.75 115°{ this year} but but this year checked puwer comfortable for reading but not very comfortable for long seeing , I see things clearly but not comfortable Also 3 time in 2023 my checkup goes wrong see very clear but can't walk on road or room , I see things clear and close

Hi Dr., I am having severe headache. I have check my eyesight with different opthalmologist then my regular opthalmologist just to cross check is my given number is correct. I try to use glasses all the time. My number for right eye: Cyl -3; sph none, axis 1.5, VA 6/12 for left eye Cyl none; sph -3.75, axis none, VA 6/6. Please help. Is it fine to have this sort of eyesight.

Hi all, thanks for uploading. I have an interesting question. The trial frames allow the optician to place cylindrical and spherical lenses as they wish. But, having the cylindrical and spherical lenses with some distance between them will surely have a different effect compared to having a single lens with both cylindrical and spherical power. So are the trial lenses "offset", meaning that you could not put them in the other order (i.e. spherical first, then the cylindrical)?

Sir when we neutralize the cylindrical lens then how we understand that we took plus cylindrical lens or minus

Thanks I had a retina detachment at the macula so no doctor can get a read on my poor vision but I can find a pair of glasses in the subway and they work perfectly can't under stand why I can't get glasses they said my cateract surgury lens is the problem

Hlo doc I have -6.00 spherical in both eyes and -0.50 cyl in both eyes with 180° in left eye and 30° in right. But m using spectacles with only spherical power. mild astigmatism can be masked with a shperical spectacles?

Sir does normal eye glasses have both spl and cyl powers? It only corrects me with contact lenses which have toric lenses

my 3 yr daughter got +0.50 sph and -1.50 cyl, what is means , whether she is not able to see far object or near by object, is plus power of sphere is worse ??

A lens can correct myopia and astigmatism at the same time. An example precription will be: -2,00 -1,50 x180 It means that the lens has 2 diopters of negative sphere aswell as 1,5 diopters of negative cyl. The “x180” just indicates what axis the astigmatism correction is orientated.

What happens if the optical center of the les is offset by 1 to 2mm for someone having -5.0 spherical, -1.5 cylindrical and 160 axis? I got my lenses changed and my left eye is hurting bad. The eye test at another store is confirming the new prescription. But I'm wondering if the lens was not cut accurately and it's optical center doesn't align with my eye's center. Please reply.

Sir maine eye test karwaya toh it was -.50 and - .25. After two weeks jab maine eyetest karwaya toh it was -.75 and -.50 so is it a major or minor difference or should i visit to doctor

Can the power change from spherical to cylindrical over time?. I have been using spherical glasses for 8yrs but recently I lost my glasses, when I checked with a new optometrist he prescribed me cylindrical glasses with 90° axis, but the glasses don't seem to work at all, everything beyond 5ft looks doubled, when I asked about it to the new optometrist he says wear them for a week it will become normal, 4days have past since but no improvement, to be honest my normal vision is worsening. I have no idea what to do now?, should i go back to spherical or cylinderical will be all right if i wore it for a week?

I want one detailed technical video. I am generally not satisfied with axis of my specs, because when i turn after wearing it it looks better. I don't understand how they check. Also i think this axis keep changing with time. My cylindrical is more than spherical.

There are many factors which is to be considered. 1. The prescription 2. IPD & Fitting height 3. Proper fitting of the lens in frame. 4. Frame allignment. All the above factors should be considered for proper vision in a spectacles.

Right eye - cyl is -1.0 and sph is -0.25 ,90° axis and VA is 6/24 Left eye - cyl is -0.25 and sph is -0.25 ,90° axis and VA is 6/12 What is my condition ? Is it possible to cure my eye completely or have any chance of increaseness of power ? Or should I wear my glasses all time? bcoz I really don't like it to wear most of the time. Sir plz reply it would really help Igot checkup 2 months ago.. But according to precription of 1st checkup. I still saw bit blur through one eye. Than after second. Both vision become clear. And cylindrical of 1 eye increased... Now i feel again abit blurry a bit.. Why my no increasing so quickly and interestingly. Before these checkup my no both eye was 2.5 each but after one year. One reamain 2 5 other become 5. Why this no increased so rapidly and other stood same. Sir plz reply

Atleast 1.6 index. But 1.67 index is preferable. Max thin will be 1.74

With your glasses ur vision will be much better. Just see a distance object with & without glasses. U can feel the difference yourself.
