Spent $25 Thrifting at Goodwill Bins Outlet | Thrift with Us | Reselling
Ойын-сауық
Andrew and I returned to the bins, but we only had about forty-five minutes to dig through the bins for treasure. I feel pretty confident that I beat him this time.
Stay tuned for the haul.

I already called it. She picked it up and I was like- Ghostbusters!!
for your future reference; that crocheted blanket you found is very, very easy to repair. It would only be a matter of an hour or so to fix it.

Was thinking along the same lines. An easy repair though I do understand that not everyone does any hand work. Agree with Junkin Joe and Retro Renee, that would have been worth for someone to repair themselves. It was really pretty. Hopefully someone got it and rescued it.

I was actively yelling at her, lol
I personally watch your videos for learning about picking. You and Drew are so helpful. I think any negative comments from viewers are inappropriate as these videos are watched by choice. If you are not a fan of what's being presented here, simply DON'T WATCH, there is no "reason" to be negative. #ChooseJoy
To her/their defense as far as “mishandling” items ... first I’m going to assume most, if not all, of the items that she picks up and puts back already have chips, cracks and/or damage, hence one of the reasons she’s not keeping it (which she mentions quite often). It would be crazy to expect her to mention the exact condition of every.single.piece. she touches especially items she chooses not to keep. Second, the sounds you hear from glass etc are GREATLY amplified through the recording device making it “sound” like she’s being more rough than is actually happening. On top of that, Ive watched Jocelyn put more than a few items up on “display” in a gentle manner in hopes another shopper might take home the item and cherish it. It’s not a perfect shelving system lol at the bins and some items are naturally going to break when moved within that chaos. Jocelyn is one of the more kinder thrifters (with great respect for vintage/antique pieces) that I’ve watched on KZread! Proof is in the pudding when I see her young daughter showing respect for items as well (who learned from her mama)!

I just sold a pair of the golden wheat Libby juice glasses on eBay for $16. I need to go to the bins again! The worst part of the bins are how many awesome things are broken, torn, or stained. :(

@@karenzalenski2295 Yep. Definitely not handled with any care. I try to be careful when I go, but the way some things are stacked makes it challenging.
Just a tip: Grab those sheets of bubble wrap from the bins for shipping delicate items. They're super light weight and it's a lot cheaper than paying retail for it!
@ryders_mom
5 жыл бұрын
@NakedAndLaughing Bubble wrap isn't trash when you're in the re-sale business. Besides, when you're purchasing by the pound, you might only pay a penny or two for a good quantity of bubble wrap. They don't let you take it for free.
@ryders_mom
5 жыл бұрын
@NakedAndLaughing I see your point. But I, personally, do look for bubble wrap in those bins, even if it costs me a literally a penny or two. Otherwise I have to pay $10 for a roll of it at a retail store. I'm not going to get pissed over a few cents when it's saving me dollars. And as they say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure!"
We love your shopping video. Now we'd like to see you working on some of your lamp projects.
What fun. I enjoyed tagging along to the bins with you and Drew. Thanks for sharing.
Omg right away I have to say that floral purse is adorable and amazing!!!
The blanket was only falling apart at the seams. You can salvage it by weaving like colored yarn through both sides. Then reverve te weave to lock and tuck it in. All yarn work is fixable as long as you match the yarn. That's why they ladt forever.

I am crocheting while watching all these videos lol, I was like *"nooooooo its still a good blanket!"* 😱😭
Our bins have paper to wrap things, but I usually use the bubble wrap or newspaper I find while digging through the bins. That way I don't have to worry about breaking or scratching anything. I am too skilled at accidentally breaking goodies I buy, lol.

2.5 seconds flat Drew knows the Ghostbusters Fire Station. As a fellow child of the 80's, I appreciate the skillz. I admire you filming while digging. I've tried, I failed. Awesome video! Love the bins!
Your videos are very relaxing to watch first thing in the mornings while drinking my coffee. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure.
FYI regarding yellowish stains on old fabrics. I have removed a lot os yellow stains on old textiles after washing them, applying lemon juice to the yellow spot and hanging in the sun for the day.

I would buy those lamps for a project for my home. Maybe put some of those project lamps up for sale? 😁😁😁🤔🤔
Yes we are addicted to the bins videos now 👍👍👍😁
I cannot believe how much you got in only 45 minutes. And I saw lots of stuff you left that I wanted, too! Drew does the guy collectibles while you do the girl things. Perfect combination of good stuff to resell. I want to go to the Goodwill Outlets across the country, sounds like the best vacation ever.
I'm now addicted to your bin videos. Life is good.
I find your videos so relaxing. ✌🏼 I love watching you go through thrift stores and rummage through stuff! Thrift stores are kind of my happy place.
Love the finds! Love the cougar purse it looks unique. I'm glad you picked up the project lamps they are gorgeous even though they need some TLC. I think if I went to the bins I would become a complete hoarder between the hard goods and clothing. But, you hate to see stuff end up in a landfill if it is still salvageable.
I love first thing in the morning videos!!
Love watching you shop, makes my lunch so much fun!
I have the Churchill England blue flower mug ☺️ currently listed in my Etsy store ☺️ I got so excited when you picked it up! First time I had something you also found and liked 🥰
Hey Jocelyn!! I have the exact same Green with flowers bowl! Our Good will use to do HUGE box bins! they dont anymore! I loved them! they throw alot of stuff away that is damaged! I use to go thru the throw away stuff and get free stuff for craft projects!! LOve it!! Have a great day girl!
Huge fan from Los Angeles. Please, please never stop going to the bins with Drew. These bi ns videos ALWAYS make my day. Always. 🙏🙏👌👌👏👏

The one time me and my boyfriend went we were there for 4 hours and people were savage!! A new isle would come out and they would hit a buzzer and everyone would run to the bins and you grab whatever you think you want in the basket and go thru it later. Its was insane but we found some interesting stuff. Its addicting
That was fun! I can't wait to go to the bins. I still have not been able to get up there. Thanks for sharing Jocelyn and Drew. Great finds, although Joce, you leaving that one kitty is killing me lol. If I lived near I would going to see if I could find him lol.
I like how you talk to the items, it makes me smile lol
Seductive Frog is everything!!! ;) lol I love him!
My goodness! I SAW SO much stuff in those bins that I would have grabbed! Nice haul, Hon!
I watch everything in the bins you got some good stuff the purse that you picked up was a $100 purse nice.
I love the lamps. Thanks for all the videos!
I have been watching all of these back to back the last couple of days 😂😂😂
If you can't say something nice...move on. I love your videos and so do most people who watch.
This is fun Jocyln! Thanks for taking us along with Andrew! So fun to look at the bins!!!
Omg the brown glass with the wheat design! I found a taller version and it was my favvvv! Of course it slipped outta my hands when I was washing dishes... smassshhhhh! 😓
I have that vintage Ruth Saltz Handbag listed, they sell foe a decent amount online depending on condition. Good find!
Love the phone holders, I have 3 vintage phones working in my home 2 from the 70's and one pre WWII, I talk on it sometimes but it is so heavy my hand gets tired. I thought of you when you tossed those curtain hooks that were in the clear zip lock bag. I remember when you were putting up the curtains in your office and wanted to take the pleats out, those hooks would have been the kind you needed. I am so glad you got the Salem plates, I cant turn down vintage china I just wish it sold better. Great video as always.
vintage purses I've found are heavy. I was surprised. You have some awesome finds. I can hardly wait until I can go back to the bins!. :)
I love all the little funny things you say when thrifting! you make laugh! I love thrifting the outlets!
Such an easy fix on the star crochet blanket.
I love the Bins too. You got some great fines. By the way we still have a home phone, for local calls, but hubby and I have our cells. You've got a bigger store and I think better stuff than we do, I would have a hay day their.
Thank you for another great video Crazy mug lady.
The knobs on the purse are for opening it!

I still have a house phone. I totally am going to check out your Ebay!

Love the bin vids. keep on doing them.
That Abraham Lincoln plates I sold mugs like that a couple of years ago. Bins still freak me out but if there were any around me I might have to try it. Nice finds as always.
OMG love the lamps !!
My parents had whole sets of those amber glasses with butterflies on them, tall & juice!
OMG so fun! I NEED the on hold music thingy!!!!! Seriously!
Please show your complete haul tomorrow, i don't care if it runs long as long as we can see what you both got!🤓

@NakedAndLaughing Agreed!🤓👍
goodwill here is so expensive, even had a 3 dollar price tag beside a Dollarama one
You wrap your breakables in the blankets and linens you found and get everything straight when you get home.
It's so hard to stick to money making stuff! I would have picked up that needlepoint too!
You should make a series of you fixing up the old lamps!
I love these bin videos too! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
7:23 a whole stack of restaurant ware. Double line emerald green dinner plates. Corning wars I think of pyrex. I have the divided plates. Love them. They are Wooooooowwwww durable n remind me of 50s diner and of a place that used these grill plates/hot plates to melt hot browns or cheesy yummy artery clogging goodness!!😉😊😀😯😣😇
Would love to see what you do with the project lamps 😁
More fun at the bins!
My grandma embroidered all of us table cloths. I love mine
That blanket you got w/ the baby (pink/blue,etc.) print on the other side. Was Just like the print on my baby blanket... I was born in 1961.
oh my gosh you missed a little lustreware kitty before the milk glass lamp. I can't find a bread box either, been looking forever.
your man is so into it with you :-) knowing his own things and you having your knowledge on your side ! I like you guys !

So nice of him to do it. women know it's so HARD to get men to shop with us 😂 or to shop period
Hi Jocelyn. The crocheted cover was nice. It was only coming apart on the seams where it was joined. I'd take a chance you could make a reasonable repair via very simple crochet or sewing with some closely matched yarn or thread.
That first purse is beautiful . Great haul
I cannot believe you left the Ghostbusters fire house! I bought one for my husband last year in about the same condition and paid 200 plus shipping. If you even sold it by prices you'd have gotten about 60 plus dollars! And honestly I probably would've at least bid on it
The little green cup goes to a mini whiskey barrel set. My mom brought one home from Germany in 72. I now have the set.
The cougar lion purse, I had that handbag in the 70's! With matching wallet. The knob on the back is to open it, pull on the couger and the knob at the same time to open, bet Sue would.recognize it
I just bought 6 of those butterfly smokey glasses a few weeks ago.
That crochet/knit blanket you didn’t think could be saved is actually a very easy fix! Google joining afghan squares and you will see how easy it is using a simple stitch and a yarn needle ... if you can see on a button if fix a rip you can do it!!!
Those bamboo plates are great!

Use the blankets for cushies ;) I bought th these handmade stockings once just to have some cushion.
You guys are hoot and I love watching you both! 😂😂😂
I put on my big girl under britches and went to our local Goodwill Outlet (bins) last weekend all by myself. I was totally working the less-crowded perimeter bins, because it was a bit intimidating. I left with nothing. Our bins only had clothing.. no housewares, glassware, handbags, etc. 😩
Scored Ohio pottery mixing bowls at GW cheap. (blue stripe, probably vintage but modernish) All because you inspired me to go. Left the biggest one, it was so heavy and I have no place to put it. A score for someone else hopefully. I would have hung that cool iron heart on the wall. This was fun to watch and you got some nice scores.
I actually gasped when that glasses container thing started sliding, good catch! Lol
Purse is a cougar purse Ruth E. Saltz!
Hi Jocelyn! Those two little vintage juice glasses with the butterflies? My mom had the entire set of those when I was a kid in the 70’s. I believe she “earned” the entire set shopping for groceries at the local IGA. I always liked those glasses! If you ever find the larger drinking glasses, I’ll definitely buy them from you! I’ve subbed & been watching your videos for a while now. I am not a reseller & have no interest in becoming one, just love seeing all the treasures you find in your searches! Your great personality is what got me hooked tho! And Sue’s (can’t wait until she has her own channel!) and Andrew’s (he’s funny!). I also love that you save hand made arts & crafts. I’m a maker, so that means a lot to me! In total, thank you so much for all the time & effort you put into your videos! It’s greatly appreciated!
I saw a cool vintage sewing box in the purse bin
Wow! just looked at both of your stores and they are really low......looks like you need to do a huge listing party! I like those little lamps. I'm sure they will be so cute and sell fast when you get them done :)
You guys are brave battling the bins. Fun finds tho!
When I go thrifting for dishes and breakables the first thing I do is grab a blanket or towel and place it on the bottom of the cart. Great padding😊 and I leave it at the store.
I could have fixed that crocheted blanket in 15 mins! Thanks for sharing
I want those three green glazed with circle on them you found at the bins.

Try efferdent on old linens to take out age marks on folds. Sounds crazy
What a haul, those telephone things were interesting.
I think that brown and green mug were part of a set with a burnt orange and gold colored on a wooden mug tree. I think I got a set as a wedding present back in 1973.
You need grippy gloves 😊 Grab those crochet items and do the quick repairs. (As if you have free time!) Ha! Thanks for sharing your thrifting fun
Great finds
