Hey everyone! Welcome back to our UK Series! For Episode 8 we travelled up to the Lake District to visit Lake Windermere.
We began the day by packing up the car and driving to our Bed and Breakfast, The Woodlands, located 1 mile East of Lake Windermere in Bowness on Windermere.
Once we arrived at the hotel we checked in and unpacked ready for our weekend adventure.
We finished off the Friday by walking down to The Easy Breeze for some food and got an early night ready for the next day.
Breakfast was included in our BnB, so we filled up on some good food and headed up to Windermere town before stopping off for a coffee with a view of Lake Windermere. After getting a local recommendation we then prepared for the hill climb to Biskey Howe Viewpoint. Even on an overcast day the view was stunning and definitely worth the climb to the top to take in more of Lake Windermere and the surrounding area.
During our third and final day in the Lake District we finally managed to book onto Bowness Beach Boat hire and get ourselves a little motorised boat named Millie for an hour.
This was our favourite activity as it was a great way to see Lake Windermere without the hustle and bustle of the town. The boat was simple enough to drive and slow enough to let you take in all the stunning views.
