Spencer's New Excavator!

Spence has been searching for an Excavator since November to help clean-up some of the Farms. Seems like it's almost impossible to find a nice used excavator. We looked at a few CATs and they were pretty pricy for a starter excavator. Hope to get all the overgrown trees on field edges cleaned up this Spring and next fall, and have a few other projects to knock out with it. We may sell it after we get done with these projects, or maybe keep it. Not too sure. The reason we didn't rent is because we're limited with time. We usually do farm work on weekends, so it's nice to be able to run it whenever and not be in a time crunch.
It did have two boom arm hydraulic cylinders that were just re-built. Seems like there's an issue with the re-build, and it's gonna have to go back to the shop to get fixed. Hopefully, we'll have it back in a week or so.

Spencer, You seem like a smart guy who put a lot of time in knowing everything about excavators. Do the same homework on speaking. Please refrain from saying exact same. It is a message that you do not understand English. Exact and same are redundant. If you must say exact same. Use it an an adverb. Say exactly the same. Hate to be picky, but when you speak in redundancies you are telling the world you skipped English grammar in High School. Great content. Keep up the great work.

A man that has done excavating where I’m at, he’s done it his whole life. But he told me when we were cutting trees he said dig around on both sides of the tree push it over and then scrap the dirt off the roots back into the whole you dug then it will fill the hole back up. He had to learn it and I have to. My grandpa use to say if you don’t know what your doing, just do it because you’ll never learn letting someone else do it.

Or using tracks to pull wrong way. Local company drops track hoe. “Go ahead”. It showed up badly damaged. I didn’t dare use it. Seems trained operator tipped it into a ditch. Reaching across, from side to pick up heavy….
