    If it weren't for Spencer Nato probably would have 2 NCAA and a better chance at the olympics. Sometimes you just come along when there is a guy that is nearly impossible to beat, like DC came along with Cael wrestled.

    spencer and gilman in the finals. calling it now cut is gonna take a toll on gross, maybe makes it to the semis gilman’s jumping levels at state college, fix won’t keep up. will not be as close as final x. who does daton even have to train with now at his rtc esp since picc is fighting now. +we’ve seen gilman rock nick so idk what argument there is suriano gonna have to shrink his body while maintaining strength, looks noticeably less healthy at 57kg compared to 133lbs.. also needs more freestyle experience. i don’t see him being able to make that his focus while he’s reenrolled at rutgers but we’ll see if/how college season shakes out. somewhat quality win over colon at bts but that was a while ago now gilman’s gonna take spencer to third or extra periods. spencer won’t react well since he hasn’t been there. gilman puts down the hammer and big brother’s him spent 8 years at iowa and now gets to sharpen and refine himself at penn state with a long list of studs. knows how tom & terry operate and likely how they’ll prepare spencer for him. gilman has the most potential for growth. casually traveled alone to russia to train cael knows this. will expose any tendencies learned from the guys that grew up in young guns with spencer. who else is or has ever been in such a unique position? no one to further my point somewhere along the line whatever american (spencer or gilman) faces micic will decimate him. gilman already has. and as much technique stevan brings the other two bring equally as much if not more, and then some grit. need i mention the L micic took in italy to colon? colon’s already at the bottom list of 57kgs. plus stevan has to cut to make 57. still wish him luck but. TPG to tokyo. thank you for coming to my TEDtalk

  • @JasonSantos21

    @JasonSantos21

    3 жыл бұрын

    Tyler Harris didn’t include just by transitive property his loss to nicky at bill farrell. if suriano has a tough path i would say nashon’s is slightly more difficult. nick had a dominant performance over him there. trial seeding in the bracket plays a small factor but everyone knows be prepared to face the toughest guys. i do give him credit where it’s due, don’t get me wrong. solid win over clark for a title and i forget off hand, haven’t him and gross gone back and forth a couple times? i like him he’s hella athletic and has flash moments but to his own detriment you don’t see enough of him at his best in matches. i think nashon’s went 60kg before too.. his body type requires a cohesive cut to compete at his fullest and i mean i’ve heard him speak in interviews how 57kg is always a pain for him to get too. it is unfortunate seeing guys in between weights have to size themselves into the next best weight class. he is also 5+ years out of college, he ought to be a bit more seasoned in freestyle and the senior circuit. BUT he does have great resources in his corner (i’m a fan of coach koll, mike grey, even dake - speaking of him as a coach not a wrestler) plus very talented training partners over there at cornell; yianni and vito the obvious fs vets. you are right in that i would not count him out, and if i were to rank him amongst the others i’ll put him above colon. but rankings ultimately don’t matter who cares what i think

    @Commonscent i advocate for spencer and everything he’s done for the program. have you sat in on a practice? they sparingly trained together by the time thomas graduated. losses to picc and rivera in the regular season demonstrates anyone and everyone is beatable. can’t overlook the fact that hwc coach dan dennis trained more with gilman throughout their college years prior to bringing spencer along pre rio 2016. as a hawk myself i’d be thrilled to see thomas and spencer in an OTT final. i just don’t think it’s spencer’s time yet to peak. if he loses it will fuel his next tear for the following two cycles. just the way i see it! for now though i’d imagine he’s refocused on a couple more national titles to become iowa’s first 4x champ TERRY KNOWS
