How do I fix an issue when I follow these steps correctly but AVC countersteers in the wrong direction? Same with two rx SR6110AT and the 6100AT and even tried a new radio but it still countersteers wrong

@@ParcoUpchurch Apparently while doing the calibration if you steer the wheel to the left first and then right, that will reverse the AVC steering pitch. Full steer right, then left during calibration, and the AVC steering pitch counter-steering should be active. Hope this helps!

@@rclunatic have you tried switching the switch on the hand remote to reverse it to get forward. Them after doing so rebind and recalibrate again with the new settings

Thank you so much for this video I recently got a used r/c car, and for the life of me, couldn't get more than about 10% brakes out of it. Plus I couldn't calibrate the ESC on it, because it wouldn't see reverse or brakes from the transmitter. Did what you recommended to do on the bind and calibrate, now I have a fully functioning r/c now. Thank you again!

My Lasernut came with the right turn limit set low so it won't meet the calibration point. Resetting the transmitter fixed the problem. Much needed video for these new Spektrum equipped vehicles.

Thank you for this video it is really helpful as I had one of the Outcast 8S cars that wasn’t bound from the factory and then wouldn’t work after binding . I sent it back for a reset and now all is good . If I had seen this vid series before I posted it back I believe I could have done it myself 👍👌👍

Yo THANK YOU for posting this video. I have now watched about 10 videos trying to get my losi lasernut to work. I couldn't figure it out. Eventually, i found this video, none of the other videos went over the remote settings, and that it had to be at 100 percent power, plus centered on other settings. I was stugging and ready to give us and return my purchase. Then i found this. 10 min later I'm back in business. Thank you!!!❤❤❤❤😅

Very helpful and informative video. The ending about how to reset the transmitter to default is critical information missing in the manuals. Please continue to post these instructions as the manuals are confusing.

I have recently bought Outcast 8s BLX RTR. My question is - should I perform the binding operation or I should skip binding and start from calibration ?

Grate video! Does someone know why my steering is reversed on my kraton 6s? I have to switch the switch knob to R for it to be normal. It’s not a big deal, but kind of annoying. I have the DX3 with the SR6110AT. I’ve calibrated it a couple of times to try to fix it but I can’t seem to make it reverse bak. I’ve just bought it in used condition. Thanks!

Change the motor rotation in the esc, i had this problem with a spectrum motor/esc combo i put in a slash 4x4. It fixed it. I also read, you can switch the yellow and orange esc plugs from the battery, but I didn't try that one, no need. I only speak about what i have experienced, i am in no way a pro. Just a dude with youtube and a couple rc cars.lol

Hi I have a question somewhat related to this DXs TX. My question is related to the DX2E active Transmitter mine don't turn on with new batteries I installed the bluetooth module SPM6741 and noticed that when turning on the TX the module light will flash but the TX green light won't. How can I fix this problem? I read the manual and I did not see anything helpfull there. Any sugestions. Thank you.

After I link my receiver and transmitter and go to set the my forward and reverse end points the led just stays solid. How do you get it in that mode?

I did have an issue following this to set the throttle. Light would not go off. So, I had to reset remote. Once I did that then rebind but quickly press throttle to set end point. Because every time I took my time it would not recognize that I'm pressing the throttle. Got to be quick once bind is complete to set those end points. Just something I thought should be shared.

This is funny. When I first got my db pro a long time ago I bound it to my dx5c and could not for the life of me figure out why it would not steering throttle or break correctly. I didnt calibrate the receiver after binding! This video fixed my issue. Funny thing I just got an infraction and did it again! Forgot all about this step! Lol I usually dont use avc receivers soo forgot all about it. Lol

@SpektrumRC Thx for the video. So if I have a RTR like Felony and radio is working out the box, forward/back, left/right, brake, etc all work is there a to re-calibrate anything....is there a concern that the calibrations could not be set up correctly from factory?

There should be no need to recalibrate anything BUT if you just want practice, follow what is covered in the video and our Firma ESC calibration video :)

Will the sr6100at receiver fit in the new Arrma Notorious v5?

What is the app called to use the Bluetooth module? I have the module in my dx3 and on the spektrum dashboard app it says it is not compatible with this controller.

Once AVC has been disabled, can I use aux1, aux2 or aux 3 to power other servos or led lights?

I have a spektrum DX2E DSMR TRANSMITTER and I have that same receiver u have so will this same method work

I appreciate the help, but over explaining and showing us in the middle of Celebrating how not to do it makes it a hard watch. Still trying to figure out the way to set my steering points. Just FYI, explaining the right way and letting us know what could go wrong not during the process. I still thank you for the explanation.

Do you push set button after each one full throttle then set button right steer then set button?

You guys should do a video on how to adjust steering and throttle end points, I got one of the new DX3 and i would like to set up the throttle end points to a higher percentage to have more control over throttle but the instructions are confusing. Especially since the knobs do not have notches to indicate what percentage you are at.

Hi, i have issue with transmitter: When transmitter trigger is on neutral position nothing is done(it's ok). I pull full throttle and car is speeding up(it's ok) But when I return the trigger to the center position car is still running(as if the throttle didn't release). Then I have to push a little brake and next back to center trigger position and then car is slows down correctly like in neutral throttle position as it should. I restarted endpoints in transmitter and restarted esc I calibrated receiver and esc like is show in Spectrum youtube channel I have set in transmitter brake rate to full and throttle trim in the middle When I switch to transmitter from losi db pro(DX2E) everything is ok

I just bought Tenacity DB Pro. I moved the AVC receiver. It comes on the side but I put the RX in a box and it now lays flat not on its side anymore. My question since I changed the position from the factory bind for the gravity position. Do I need to re-calibrate since I change the RX position or it is OK as it is?

If you changed the position you WILL need to rebind and recalibrate for it to initialize and correct propperly.

Thank you i just bought the RYFT and it is coming unbound every time i turn it off and slowly but surely the wheels will turn left only after driving it for awhile

Very nice video. My rx model is SPMSR6100AT and I can’t get the AVC to work when binding my tx (DX5Pro) at 5.5ms. Could you please make one binding a DX5Pro with an AVC receiver at 5.5ms? Thank you!

Thanks! One thing about 5.5ms mode is that it only uses 2 channels. Lower ch = more bandwidth essentially. AVC uses 4ch (aux1 and 2 are for gain settings etc) So you will want to use 11 ms or higher. Hope that helps!

Hello friend, I have a radio dx3 and in my arrma infraction 6s I will have moved some settings with the bluethoot module in the app, the problem is that when I detach the avc does not turn off and the wheels no longer turn, instead when I reactivate the avc is always active and the wheels instead turn, I can not detach the avc yes and mixed with the servo, Please help me.

Make sure to calibrate the RX first, then follow instructions on the SW4 to calibrate throttle end points.

I cannot reset to factory and i cannot access settings (blue LED). I do as instructed and i get no reaction from the DX3. Just an orange LED when pressing the ON button, release and green LED. Trims is set correctly according to the video. How can i solve this issue other than buying the Bluetooth component? It's a Arrma Talion 6S EXB. Brand new. Looking to set my endpoints and increase brake before taking it our to bash.

i have a problem in my dx3 controller, my steering wheel just work like a 2 position adjustment and it dont works like steering normal wheels , the trasnmitter is new, i just turn on and bind the car, then i connect the micro servo and car became erratic.

I have a DX5 PRO and two SR6110AT receivers, where the AVC only works in one direction of throttle. This would be fine if the direction was "forward" for the vehicle, or if it was an electric model where I could just reverse the motor, but it's in my gas car. When reversing throttle or applying brakes, I get steering and throttle avc corrective activity, but nothing when going forward. If I activate it by tapping reverse, once I trigger forward, the avc stays active in the forward direction for only about 2 seconds, and then snaps out of AVC. Is this a transmitter problem? Because I have two SR6110AT receivers that do this same thing?

I would suggest rebinding and recalibrating AVC now that you have the model setup (ie trims and throttle travel endpoints) Let us know if that helps.

Is there a way to switch the directions of steering? My outcast is the only one in my fleet that I have the steering switch on R. (Reverse) all the cars are on N. (Normal) and it’s triggering my OCD

There is not, it really depends on the geometry of the steering linkages and the servo itself.

Hi new to the rc hobby I have the arrma talion 6s exb I'm having a very hard time with the calibration I can bind my transmitter but I'm still not getting any throttle I watch this video and followed the instructions but its still not working please help

The Problem I realized with spectrum SPMSR6100AT channel 2 dose not work with ESS one Engine sound simulator, I don't know if there is a fix for that or it just wont work.

It is because when using a Smart ESC, the receiver then uses a different communication protocol between the ESC and RX. One workaround is to plug the ESS into another open/AUX channel, and if your radio can program mixes, to mix the throttle channel to the AUX you plugged in the ESS to.

OK so I have done all this and my car is responding just find BUT I cannot adjust the trim, AVC, or brake anymore... I feel like I've tried everything! Anyone know how to fix this! I put the trims in the positions he says and it works but like I said I can't adjust anything from the remote???

This is confusing.... So, I don’t remember doing any of this brake / accelerate stuff? I just turned in my controller and it connected to my receiver (arma box 185) (Spektrum dx3) I don’t remember doing throttle and steering direction stuff? It just seemed to start working? So how do I re start this process? Whenever I reset my transmitter and then reset esc and then it on, it automatically recognizes my transmitter? How can I restart this entire process on my arma limitless?

Binding and reconnection are 2 different things. You only need to bind if you are swapping the transmitter or if you feel it needs recalibrated. The calibration process is part of binding so all you need to do is put your receiver into bind more. This is done by pressing a button on the receiver itself, so you will have to open the receiver box to access it in your limitless

I have the spektrum dx5c and a spektrum 6110at i put the receiver in my trx4 and every time i turn it on it like the receiver goes into bind mode but it binds fine after any tips to fix that

If the receiver is always booting up into bind mode that is a good sign the button is stuck. Feel free to open the case and check for debris that could be keeping the button from moving propperly.

Hi T Nok, until Sense ESS provides an update to support SRXL2 protocol (which is what smart ESCs use) you will not be able to Y harness the module into the throttle channel when using a smart esc. That said, if your transmitter is capable, you can mix throttle to a open channel and plug the ESS into said channel.

Anyone got any idea why my rc wont set my brake point for the 3rd beep it stops after the second I have my trims set right

I’ve followed every step but the light when I calibrate it doesn’t go off and then the servos move without me touching the transmitter

What model Arrma is on the right? The biggest one, not the Typhon.. Thx for the vid. But this binding should be much easier and you should be able to use multiple receivers per transmitter like any Traxxss or any other brand TX/RX.. I dont need it to save the settings or anything but when i turn my Traxxas car on, as long as ive binded that receiver before the transmitter will pick it up right away and i can use any Remote thats most convenient or just keep the remote with each car if there is special adjustments needed for regular use like end points or something else important

I got to order me another dxr5 pro I did a boo boo muscle plug the wrong and of the battery to my remote and it blows so I got to order another hole

I'm trying to get a mamba x on my ryft and the dx3 is giving me a fit. I've calibrated over and over and it does work but now if it loses signal it just goes wide open when it should just shut down. My dx5c and flysky gt5 aren't like that. If I didn't like the avc on the ryft I'd chuck this receiver into a fire pit

You need to rebind to reset the failsafe. Also if the DX5C works well with it why not just use that? Is a better transmitter. Just a thought :)

@@SpektrumRCvideos I should have worded my last comment differently. My dx5c works perfectly with the non avc reciever. If I didn't like the avc I would run the dx5c but I'm afraid to even buy another avc receiver if it's not going to work properly. If horizon ends up warranting it out I probably will use the dx5c or dx5 pro. I love the spektrum products but they have to work every time all the time.

When I bind, the light doesn't go out completely it gets dim. Is that ok??

I have a problem I have a 8s firma setup on my limitless I can't get reverse and motor rotation is backwards please help me

Make sure you have the ESC mode set for Forward, Brake and reverse. Also there is an option to reverse the motor in the ESC settings as well. ALSO make sure, on your transmitter, that you have the brake rate and reverse end points turned up to 100%

What happens when you bind but the car has throttle immediately when trying to calibrate and the orange light never goes out either? From day one my system does this.

Me too. Been trying to fix with warranty service. New ESC didn't fix it, new servo didn't fix it. Trying to get a new receiver next 😢

Am I doing something wrong? When I do the calibration process and all the dials for the DX3 are set as he did on the video....I do the full-forward, full brake, when I do full right....my wheels turn left. Now when I am done with the process I have to set the ST on the radio to "R" to steer correctly... not sure why it is not the right direction in the calibration?

Flip the reverse switch to R and rebind and recalibrate and you should be good to go :)

Great and helpful video. But I have one problem that is nowhere to be read. When i turn the steering full right, after 1sec throttle kicks in. If I turn left, the reverse kicks in. Steering works but after the endpoint, i get throttle or reverse. So I tried everything from this video..resetting everithing, bind again, calibrated..nothing worked. Like the channels are mixing. Its on vorteks blx. Everything is stock and the wiring is ok. Running out of ideas... :(

Dx3s is compatible with sr6200 receiver?

Best video so far, but my 2 weeks old car still won't let me calibrate it. It just binds and stops allowing inputs. The same thing happens every time, as it refuses to stay bound. Update: The water-proof box thing was full of water. The receiver has been tried, checked and working. After putting it back in the car, it will NOT bind and instead gives a single red light on DX3 and an error tone.

Followed steps but when I go to full throttle it actually goes full throttle. Not sure why it does not go through calibration.

I cant find anywhere how to set throttle gain independently. On DX3 there is just a stearing gain knob.. I would like stearing gain on or adjusted and throttle avc completely off.. Because I don't want for car to independently correct throttle while getting for a jump. Is that even possible on DX3?

My avc is backwards. Steering is correct, but the avc corrects in the wrong direction. Have reset the dx3 and rebound multiple times. The range on my radio is only about 100 feet too. Makes driving a 3s truck no fun! I have the dx3 and sr6200a.

My AVC goes inactive when I hit the full break, then reactivate when I hit forward again, is this normal?

Could be the low battery indicator. Are you using freshly charged batteries?
