Thank you, Jeff! Just getting in to this after a blessed career in military and civilian aviation. And yes, I know it’s completely different flying. Maybe harder than landing on a ship even from what I’ve gleaned thus far 😂 After dozens of hours of research I was torn between the NX 10 and this iX14 I was hearing so much about. I really liked the fact that the gimbals were moved outward given I do not have large hands. Greatly appreciate your expertise! Sold

Thank you for your service! I don’t know if it’s harder then landing on a ship and I know that’s hard! Welcome to the RC side or aviation! Thank you for watching the channel. The IX14 is a incredible radio and worth every penny. It’s a night and day difference from the NX10. The overall feel is much better and the radio is more solid in the hands plus being touch screen is awesome! Makes setup and programming so nice.

Always appreciate the fantastic, in-depth reviews! I have a NX10SE, but am really intrigued by the upgraded programming experience that the iX14 provides. Since I have yet to get my hands on an iX14, I was hoping to get your thoughts on the gimbals as they compare to the machined aluminum gimbals on the NX10SE. I believe they're both Hall Effect so I recognize this is more of personal preference, but was curious to hear your take on how they might compare, and if there are significant advantages of one over the other? I will say, I'm a pinch-hybrid flyer as well, so really like the shifted stick position with the iX14!

Thank you! I’m glad the videos and channel is helpful and you enjoy it! So I have not held a NX10SE (just a NX8/10) so I can’t say how the gimbals feel compared to the IX14. But the only difference between the NX10SE and IX14 gimbals is the 10SE is aluminum and the IX14 is not. Both are Hall effect. The IX14 gambles are very smooth and precise. The IX4 radio feels way better then the NX series and the programming is night and day easier and better on the IX14.

I'm bummed they cost so much. Just now almost mastering my NX-8, and now see touch screen? COOL! But still, that's a serious chunk of change for a radio. I see some of these newer, smaller, kinda game controller looking radios, and think that's kinda what I'll wait for. In hopes Spektrum will come out with something like that soon. The 'younger generation' and all the video games they play will make our older guy's big fat radios obsolete soon enough.

I don’t believe so, personally I don’t like small little radios like that as well as a bunch of others. Sure some people like them but I would never switch over to a game style transmitter.
