HUGE learning curve from every other spektrum tx to anything iX! I was fast setting up new birds on my (& everybody else's) nx. My iX20SE was an experience!

Similar setup but menu placement and few other things make feel different.

Great! I get a little confused on setting up the different Flight Modes/Channels/AUX etc....and the difference between AS3x Gains and SAFE Flight Mode Gains ...hope you can clarify.

Does the Spektrum ix14 have the BNF templates?

Doesnt have predloaded.You can download files from Spektrum website and install to radio.

Is this similar to a set on a NX8?
