Idk why people would say one hand or 2 hand is better. It's all about what you're used to and the muscle memory that comes along with it

It's the same with air transmitters! Thumbs on top,or pinch! Huge heated debates over that.imo,it's what you are comfortable with.

It just hit me! Radiomaster, makes the original tx Exo used, modded, & loved. They also make the MT12. & my (& several other pilots I fly with regularly), the tx16s line. Joe, u outta try out the MT12 at some point. Grayson Hobby in Georgia has them in stock.

Also if you are having issues setting throttle end points on some systems just make sure the throttle end is set to 150 for forward and reverse. Just some tips I thought to share.

Man firstly I just started driving with 1 hand so I can film and it feels so much better. Also the phone being mounted gave us some different angles of some of the obstacles and that was really cool to see

I’ve had a DX5 for a few years….its ok but not worth the money after I got familiar with it. Spektrum receivers are stupid expensive also. Plus the on/off button has always been sticky after just a couple months of use….button cocks at an angle sometimes when turning on/off if not careful…..I much prefer my flysky radios.. less expensive receivers and just as easy to operate will all the features I typically use … The only reason I don’t switch all my rigs to Flysky is I’d have to buy 20 receivers and program them all over again….not worth the hassle as long as the DX5 is still working…..and yes…I don’t like that a thumb wheel isn’t incorporated..

Use the thumb steer wheel off a dx3…they work perfect. I had one before on a dx5c but ended up switching to a fs gt5 and haven’t looked back

I use a 2s lipo inside my dx5 rugged. I'm sure that system would be similar. And just be sure to set your low voltage alert.

I can do one hand until it gets real technical, then the right hand has to go on the wheel. I couldn't bash one handed if my life depended on it though haha.

You can get telemetry from a castle esc also, but need a xbus telemetry link from castle and a spektrum receiver with xbus..

I guess since I've always just used the factory controllers i don't know any better as to how an expensive one would be different. The only one's i have that isn't stock is my Outcast EXB and Gorgon. I run a Dumbo for them because of Talbot and Tomley. As long as they make the car do what i want, when i want i thought it was a good radio. The hardest part of my system is keeping 2 million charged aa batteries on hand at all times.

@@ExocagedRC Kinda dumboRc, because they have a 10 channel System for $100, but check out the RadioMaster MT12.. $129 for a 16×2 channel capable, opensource System with 1km range and alomost any limitations than your own mind and your programming skills... 5ms delay, thats around the Level of a Noble NB4, that costs $250... and the normal MT12 recivers costs around $15-20... for me, its the only System I will run for the future, my Sanwa MTS and Futaba T3PV will become my Backup. 😂 The only reason for me, to change from the MT12 will be a MT12 MAX Version, with better Display or hopefully a Touchscreen

just like rtr's whom keep making the same mistakes when putting out a new one (torque twist for example), remotes are also making the same mistakes of not making it controlled 1handed; or at least provide an attachment to make it so. the lack of inclusion of something like this befuddles me to no end. its like a grocery store not having milk or eggs.
