Well it actually wasn't that bad, once communist you can offset the economic effects simply by activating Forced Labor for Dissidents

Tbh, I’m really curious on why you went communist so early, Japan’s main advantage is it starts off democratic letting it build a really big economy and building a decent sized Navy, all you really have to do as democratic japan is build a navy and send a small detachment of infantry to Beijing and China is 9/10 times not able to fight back and collapses entirely. But Im aware of the Buffs communism gives, more factory output n what not and a bunch of buffs against war exhaustion but Its really not good for big wars early game unless you got ur eco set up or if someone is funding you. Thats my take on it but lmk

Alr so basically I went communist very early BECAUSE I can use two policies to enhance factory output and sell to everyone. Public service act and Forced Labor for Dissidents which help offset the effects of the forced ideology change modifier because with the money I can just leave my tax levels low for the stability benefit pretty much all game. I also went communist because its quicker justification times, far quicker than democracy as fascism wasnt really an option for this speedrun. I have the full 1hour video in my discord if you want to watch for yourself but I simply pull a connectrn and sell a BUNCH of electronics to support my military
