It is very important to understand load requirements... what size power cable to use and what size breaker to install. For 5kw i use 4mm cable and 30a breaker. I am not saying 2.5mm with a 25a breaker will not work but that's max load element pull a lot off current... rather go with 4mm This will insure your unit will work to its full capacity.
hi there i also have a speed heat shower that i had since 1998 and but i want to know is there parts for the speed heat shower i am looking for the element is it replacable
Hi...When buying this product does it come with a qualified electrician or do you provide the qualified electrician at an extra cost...I'm located in Cape town.
Hi does it switch off and then switch back on cause mine gets cold and warm then it's like a switch goes on and off in between using the speed head
Hi I hve a shower heater but it makes cold I took out an thn I saw tht water goes in by electrical part any advise on wht I must do plz
Bought two in 2020 but due to covid ony installed it now which mean guarantee lapsed it was installed by qualified electrician and qualified plumber used 25 amp breaker and 4mm twin and earth. Both do not heat up and only trickle of water. One's shower rose are stuck. Phoned manufacturer but he said he only manufactures it cannot help. Plz advise
I connected my 3.5 spreadsheet to a normal 220v. I was told to allow minimal flow of water to that the water can be heated up. But in my case my speadheat is still not working. What could be the problem?

I just moved to a flat that has this thing and its annoying, it works when it wants to, sometimes it doesn't work at all, I have been complaining to my lanlord to get this sorted out but no luck. I'm stuck with cold showers.

Don`t pay the rent until the landlord gets the installation done by a licensed electrician. Problem solved!
I bought one, but the water is terribly hot. My cold water works on gravity feed. Even tho I turned the cold water tap on full, it's still too hot. Wat could be the problem?

3.5unit heats up to 40C what a waste of money BEWARE CRAP
not a good product. need to shower with a trickle of water for it to stay warm -and note i say warm not hot cos if you slightly adjust for more water = freezing cold. it doesnt work all the time either so quite a rubbish product. very disappointed and a waste of time and money.
purchased the 3,5 - absolute waste of money and time installing it - used it tonite - barely warm and with poor pressure. Dont waste yr money on this product

A 3.5kW electric shower heads are just useful on tropical climate. Outside that, the 5.4kW is the barely minimum, and a 6.5kW or 7.5kW unit is highly advised.

@@annevandermerwe9578 I am not a certified electrician but i am more than qualified to install this product. My personal practical skill level at single phase electrics well exceeds what little is needed to be known to install this product. My personal practical skill level at 3 phase electrics is not too shabby either but anyway its at least enough to know that those 3 phase skills are not relevant when it comes to installing this product.
These things do not work people - if it did everyone would use them and there would be no more geysers ( what I mean is that they dont heat up enough for a decent shower and the flow rate is poor ) . Remember the saying .. 'if something looks too good to be true it probably is '

Useless. 2 blew up. First one caught alight just under a year into using it. Second time, it lasted about 8 months and then went POP. Rather invest in a geyser. Peace of mind and keeps your head in one piece too.
