Thanks so much for the video!! I'm currently watching this on my TUFF F15 I'm gonna clean the laptop and re-do its thermals, before I return it to the shop to get my money back for a better laptop, I'm only doing this so the next customer can have a great working laptop.

Thank you for pointing out. We will improve our script in the future.
I don't think it's safe to put so much paste in the chips, mostly of them should be using thermal putty as you said and not thermal paste, is not the same heat fix as using a putty, that i can tell you from my experience .

We understand your concern, however our KOLD-01 thermal paste has special rheology design that allows it to have high viscosity and can do the job of thermal pads. There will be no negative effect replacing those with thermal paste.
Did you get the problem of this laptop didn't want to start or get some kind of problem after changing the thermal paste?

We do not. If you follow each procedure carefully, your laptop will boot up with no problem and will be running faster and cooler than before.
Can I use mx-4 paste for vram or is thermal pad or thermal putty already ok?

Feel free to try our KOLD-01 thermal paste. It's different from the regular thermal pastes you mentioned. Regular thermal pastes use solvent-based formulas, which can evaporate when heated, causing the paste to dry out and lose its thermal conductivity. Our KOLD-01 uses an exclusive solvent-free formula, perfectly solving this problem. Therefore, it provides better thermal performance and longer durability when used in laptops. Hello, we still recommend using high-performance thermal paste. Next time, you can try our KOLD-01 [heart]. Phase change pads continuously switch between liquid and solid states, which can easily lead to misalignment and result in cooling failure during this process.

Hi! This tutorial on the TUF F15 is actually a very similar laptop to the fx 516pm, you can try to follow this tutorial. We also added fx516pm to our production list!
can i know what gpu is that in the laptop? is it the rtx 3050? :)

thanks i just wanted to know how many vram "chips"? are on the motherboard, if im correct there are 4, maybe in the far future when i have a beefy soldering set up, ill upgrade my vram to 4 gb to 8 gb by soldering on new ones, and possibly making a video about it the modification hasnt been done on a laptop by anyone else yet@@koolingmonster although im probably just going to rent a soldering rig and when i have experience which is super far away as im still 14, but still i know how to do it. maybe when im 18

thanks a lot .I had one question, after how many years does the thermal paste dry out?
@koolingmonster
11 ай бұрын
Usually thermal paste dries out in one to two years. However your laptop usecase and the quality of the original paste also determines this number. The correct way to determine if your thermal paste needs replacement is through measuring the CPU and GPU temperature. You can visit our website and read the full tutorial on this matter: koolingmonster.com/insights/how-to-know-if-your-thermal-paste-needs-replacing-step-by-step-tutorial
vrams and power section generate less heat, good joke :) For real do yours recommend replacing thermal putty with paste? If someone, after a week of cleaning by yours tutorial, damages the laptop by overheating, you take the repair at your expense?

We understand your concern, but, yes they do generate less heat than CPU and GPU which can easily reach over 100 celsius in a laptop. Our KOLD-01 thermal paste has special rheology design that allows it to have high viscosity and can do the job of thermal pads. There will be no negative effect replacing those with thermal paste. We have never received any feedback of laptop overheating after following our tutorial.
spreading the thermal paste like that is not ideal

Hi. Using the right amount of thermal paste, whatever application methods and spreading methods will yeild similar results. However, spreading the paste on the CPU is the best way to know if you are using too much or too little thermal paste. Here's the link to the experiment we did on this subject: koolingmonster.com/insights/what-is-the-best-thermal-paste-pattern-actual-performance-comparison
