Have this same motor. I use mine as a kicker on a larger boat (20'). 1/2 power gets 7 MPH. Can't go faster until I get 5 more hours of break-in. Thanks for your video.

@@SteveChenFishing I had a friend who had a 9.9 restriction so his day bought a 15 Yamaha and put a 9.9 cover on his Jon Boat you could pull a knee boarder or a tube with 2 people on the boat a little to fast I'd say.

@@74stevedcsmart friend! I'm just worried if I put a 15 hp and go wide open throttle it could rip my tiny boat... 1984 Grumman...
Just bought a 2024 tohatsu 9.8 hp today! - WIll be throwing this on my V haul 12 foot Princecraft Can't wait to get on the water with it. Any recommendations for fuel additives? Even with 93 or 94 there is still ethanol present.

Congrats on your new motor! I don’t use additives because I always can use up the fuel in 2-3 weeks. I fished a lot…

you can get marine grade stabil, I think it prevents ethanol in gas issues.
