Speed Queen SC27 Front-Load Industrial Washer Extractor

Ойын-сауық

Here's a quick video of a normal wash cycle with my Speed Queen washing machine. This is a 460 lb. behemoth that can wash 27 pounds of laundry at a time. It was quite challenging to transport down the stairs into my basement. I'm hoping that it will last indefinitely with proper maintenance. Now, I've got to find a matching dryer!

we have this style of washer in one of the custodian closets at my high school. nothing can stop it. it's a beast. It sits with a speed queen commercial gas dryer, which is about three times the size of the washer. It's amazing, and won't disappoint you.

I remember seeing 4 coin operated versions of those at a laundromat I used to go that was part of a Hess station. Quite a shame that by 2018 when it was a Speedway, most of the machines were out of order, and as of now it's a Marathon station with the laundry portion permanently closed. I got to look through the window of the laundry side of the building and all that was left was a few tables, tanks for the Speed Queen dryers, and the empty spaces where the machines once stood.

This is a commercial washer that is found in a public laundromat and is bolted down to a concrete slab found in laundromat every public laundromat. The drying counterpart for a washer of this size is or would be a commercial gas dryer of 30Lbs or bigger because of the size/load of washer "27Lbs" so good luck finding a dryer of this size to fit into a residential home.

Oh absolutely front load washers and dryer are sold for residential use but also residential front load washer spin 2 to 3 times faster so that the drying time is faster and overall consumption is less.

I think I paid $200 for it used, but I got a deal. The going rate for a machine this size is over $1K used, and I would expect a new one to be somewhere between $6000-$10,000.
