SPEED IT UP! I'm making Dredge faster in MTG Pauper by adding Simian Spirit Guide to start turn 1!

Ойындар

I had an idea to add simian spirit guide to push the speed of dredge a little bit. Lets see how it goes!

I find your matches against fams so funny, like you know the deck so much better than them that you know you could be dead right on the spot and they just draw pass like the deck doesn’t do anything 😂

I got really lucky because I was pretty sure they couldn't counter a hard cast giant. They probably could have been able to gain life to get out of range but really they got quite unlucky!

I'm glad this deck got some new pieces recently to make it a competitive option, I think it's a pretty interesting deck and I like the spirit guide! I just cannot believe how many lands were boomeranged, that was wild, I've actually never seen someone boomerang a land without knowing what game the other person is playing

I love this deck! Got 6th place with it in a big in-person event last weekend. This Simian guide build sounds sweet, will test it out. Also, do you think Malevolent Rumble from MH3 will see play? For me it is the best of simian and satyr in one package

@@kalikaizthat’s not 100% win tho. What the commenter here is suggesting (and is guaranteed lethal) is: Cast Exhume, bring back Lotleth, deal 9 Sac Lotleth + 2 Green guys in play, Dread Return other Lotleth, deal 11

After watch the gameplay I immediately make this list and went to play, and after a few matches i swapped Gnaw to The Bone for Faithless Looting. Seems reasonable for me.

I feel like Simian has the ability to be good early game but just becomes a dead card after turn four. If it didn't get exiled and contributed to your graveyard count I think it would be a decent card for this build. I think you might have a faster play with having 3 Acorn, 4 Giant, and swapping some of your simian guides out for faithless looting mainboard. Having the combo ready is more important then getting lucky. The only deck I've struggled against with dredge is elves and whish I got to see you play that.

  • @kalikaiz

@@vladdogarel263 You just play around graveyard hate from the get-go. Keep in mind that they'll have it, likely before turn 4-5, so you mill yourself enough to force them to pop it, but not enough to just get knocked out when it happens. Also, hold something in hand to do immediately after (another 2-drop, or a doggo + imp combination) There will definitely be times where they draw the right mixture of hate and pressure, and your deck is going to crumble, but it is what it is. In my experience with the deck your opponent needs both at the same time to have a shot.

This is completely untested, but how annoying could a list like this be? Inspired by that dude playing boomerang, and wondering why stack to the deck effects don’t see play. In yu gi oh they’re kinda busted but thats because creatures over there and basically sacrifice lands here so when you bounce a guy you also bounce all their resources spent to get him out Also lost hours was a card I hadn’t seen since scryfalling for top of the deck effects and it honestly seems really good to me outside of the gimmick 4x lost hours 4x lapse of certainty 4x excommunicate 4x chittering rats 4x thraben inspector 4x novice inspector 4x kor skyfisher 4x cast down 3x prismatic strands 3x goliath paladin 1x omen of the dead
