Interesting way to get 22.5km/h on the last question. I multiplied 15/1 by 6/4 (reciprocal) and then used the bus stop method divide 90 by 4. Genuinely learning here, great stuff.

This video was a life saver. People who teach school subjects online are the true heroes of the internet.
Thankyou sooooo much!! A topic that my maths teacher couldn’t teach in 5 months you have taught me in simply minutes! Extraordinary to say the least!! Thankyou once again securing that 7 in maths gcse with your help!😂
I think there is a mistake in question 3, because it says work out Amy's average speed for whole journey from Ashby to Burghley. but the whole journey is Ashby to Charlton.
@TheGCSEMathsTutor

Table technique saved life
could you make a video specifically on the last question i struggled with it the most and still dont fully understand thank you/
Decent video sir good job!!!
The third question that starts after 9min and 30 seconds seems to have an error in it. The question states the average speed for A to B. The question asks for the average speed for A to B but also mixes in the term whole Journey. Well the whole journey from A to B has a stated speed. Thus you know the question is written not as the examiner intended or it was a trick question. How would you answer this in a real exam? Personally I'd write both solutions. A to B as stated and A to C as implied.

Gemma Khan This is all under the subcategory of loci and constructions 😁 I have set up a geometry playlist but I will be doing these soon, the only thing with those topics is that I will need to record them away from the screen so I need to figure out the best way to live record them. thank you so so much
For question at 20:21, in the question didn't you meant that "James takes a total time of 6 hours to travel from Claverdon to Erdington, instead of "Harry"?
At -24:24 (last question)-isn't ment to 45 minutes, cause if he came 5mins after than that'll be 50 minutes(45+5) and if he was faster by 5 minutes that'll be (50-5)45 minutes

hi sir.....just saw this question and struggled to deal with....kindly help A shop has a sale that offers 10% off all prices. On the last day of the sale, they reduce all sale prices by 30%. Norma buys a laptop on last day of the sale. Work out the overall percentage reduction on the laptop’s original price.
@TheGCSEMathsTutor
4 жыл бұрын
COSTIE TV The best suggestion I have is to start with £100, reduce it following these percentages and see how much you are left with, for example if you are left with £92 you would know that it was an 8% reduction overall! £100 always works very well for these type of questions 😁🙏🏼

@TheGCSEMathsTutor

Kashif Khan Absolutely! These would appear on either exam paper, towards the end of a foundation or first half of a higher exam. Definitely not the very last question though that’s just an extension but is definitely a higher tier only question 😁👍🏼
what if it comes on non calc and i have to do 95/2.5?

Guys imagine distance is 6 and time is 3. Do you do distance before time like 6divided or times by 3 or 3times/divide by 6
@PlayerSpawnXI

And same for speed is it before distance or after or is it before time or after time
Suuuuuuuuuuuuiiiiiiiiii

If you drive 100 miles at 20 mph and then 100 miles at 25 mph why can't you divide 200 miles by an average speed of (20+25)/2. In other words, why isn't your average speed 22.5mph?
@pigslefats

To get total time taken
@pigslefats

Figured it out. You're not travelling as long timewise at 25mph so there is a ratio involved.
