In this video, we discuss proper mouth resting posture to help correct the child's current resting posture (open mouth and tongue protrusion). We also address proper tongue placement for tip alveolar sounds such as /n, t, d, l, s, z/ and practice making sounds in isolation and in words using repetitive trials (example shown for "n").
We also demonstrate some activities and strategies to increase awareness for proper tongue placement (e.g. using lemon and water, practicing tongue tip cheerio holds). Use a mirror for the child to look at themselves to get some important visual feedback.
