SPECTRE | Guinness World Record Explosion
Фильм және анимация
On this day in 2015, the scene from SPECTRE where Blofeld’s base is destroyed was filmed in the Moroccan desert. The stunt used 2223 gallons of fuel, 72lbs of explosives and was all captured in one take - it became the biggest explosion in film history and a Guinness World Record holder.

Yeah, I felt this was the weakest, somewhat dumbest scene in this movie. So, Bond gets these things done to him that's supposed to damage his brain, right? But then it simply... doesn't. No explanation given, it simply... didn't work for "whatever" reason. Then he goes out and kills all the goons like they don't even pose a marginal risk. I mean, he barely goes for cover and shoots them with aimbot. I know James Bond has had shoot outs while being outnumbered and won, but at least they made it look like he might so much as risk injury. Then the whole base explodes. Why? Who the fuck even knows!? He shot a gas canister pressurized pipe thingummy and... that's supposed to make the whole thing explode? Like... what?

The explosion looked so CGI every time I watched this... Was the explosion real but the building CGI?
After watching this scene, Michael Bay is preparing an explosion scene that would be way bigger than this for his new movie 😂
** LARGEST ON SCREEN EXPLOSION EVER** Daniel Craig : meh… Lea Seydoux : …yeah ..okay
It’s the ruthless personality of a bond character that keeps this franchise above Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt.

Caleb Lim Agree spectre sucked ass compared to Fallout.
Jesus, what a terrible scene.
When you just get back from a piss brake during your 99th playthrough of one of your favorite games: 1:50
Entire secret lair blows up: "It's not over yet." A bartender stirs Bond's martini: "You're finished."
SPECTRE secret lairs are always made of explosive material. Even the cement bricks have explosive packed into them.
Beirut explosion : hold my shawarma
Who needs stormtroopers when you have these guys
I love Léa Seydoux as an actress 💖💖
The cat :"(
Even though everyone hates this movie, it's one of my favorite James Bond
"It not over my bed..😳" "😡 DANIEL'S....!!!!!" 🤣
Producer: Nah Daniel, your hair was not perfect. Producer: RETAKE IT ALL!!
I just hoped they could've reduced those shaky handheld shots for the explosion.
"Stop holding my hand." -Rey, episode 9 Seriously, he is shooting long distances with 1 hand only because he has to hold her hand. What?? Also she keeps standing like right next to him while the henchmen shoot at him. So either the bad guy shots are so far off, they are missing two people. Or it's Hollywood magic.

You would rather have the female character be a worthless mary sue?
I didn’t even realise it was real.
“Christ on a bike. That singed my ball hairs!” - James Bond 2:36
A new difficulty level added for senior citizens intending to game: Extra Easy, or something of the like, you know...
It seemed the directors were more fussed about breaking a record than actually making it a good scene.

you're definitely not wrong about that. even with suspension of disbelief, this scene was really lackluster.
For a scene that's supposed to be intense, Blofeld's irritated reaction to not being able to hear Bond makes me lol for some reason. 0:54
Guinness world record explosion: James bond 2015 Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Am I a joke to you?
For me this scene was the full stop on a lazy, basic, diluted version of what used to be something great... the Bond villain cliche, the effortless murder of professional henchmen, all the while they cannot make rookie shots, and of course, some random gigantic explosion enough to send you flying, leaves an unfazed James and bimbo counting the seconds before they meander off to somewhere else. Le sigh.

Bond is the human version of when you turn the aimbot on.
Michael Bay, whose legendary appetite for destruction has introduced the term ‘Bayhem’ to the blockbuster lexicon, argues that his recreation of Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor makes Spectre’s big bang look like a summer barbecue. ‘There was dynamite everywhere,’ he recalls. ‘Stuff was rigged on so many ships. Real boats, 20 real planes. We had 350 events going off.” John Frazier, who rigged it all up, agrees. ‘We blew up 17 ships over two days, each with 3,600 litres of fuel - 61,800 litres in all - plus 6,800 feet of primer cord - equivalent to about 680 sticks of dynamite. It was over the top.’
