It was a very enjoyable Day! I was trying a new 4K camera which I'll upload in a couple of weeks so this is with my old trusted Sony ! I heard you were there, cant wait to see you'r footage

Great to see the Atlas finally using a proper beach. Just over two years ago they laid a load of sand beside the runway at RAF/MOD Woodbridge airfield in Suffolk and were doing practice landings there.

Elwyn R, yes most of my video couldn’t be used because of the banter in the background, so it was only when I made space around me out of earshot that I could get the footage I wanted.

Amazing as always Elwyn. So jealous. I did manage to get there a few years back, crippled myself getting down there as I am disabled and did not realise the walk down the beach was soo far, then the Hercules cancelled so it was all for nought.

Super video! The Airforce of Denmark performed several beach landings at Vejers Strand / Denmark with a Hercules C-130J long times ago. The videos of this events are still in the internet

They dont always go ahead, they test how firm the sand is.

I think it was the controller who was "North American" as he thanked "452" for the work. I'm surprised that the captain of 452 didn't reply "you're welcome" LOL!

So crisp! ,👌. I'm curious tho if you don't mind sharing, how you got the scanner audio recorded? I always assumed you had a base station at home but you seem to catch it everywhere you go. Does you camera have 2 audio inputs or something?

its a scanner that records, I then overlay in post
