I was able to successfully create the same thickness and foam in a Vietnamese coffee on a hario frother with glass server. The recipe works great, though it would be helpful to mention the quantity of ice. One can also play around with the quantity of milk. Thanks for the recipe

I started making normal black coffee with a Phin and it's really delicious with some good coffee! Wish I knew the cap was to prevent grounds from coming through sooner, though 😂

You can see they use a coffee/milk frother. That’s why it’s foamy

100% - I think there has to be some sort of sugar/fat added to foam up like that. The end result looks a lot like a "Vietnamese Egg Coffee" so I think maybe they left that out?

It's a robusta ground coffee bean, though vietnamese blend tend to infuse with butter, fat or sometimes even fish sauce to enhance the flavor

Same here! The creator is being dishonest, there's gotta be something in that coffee to make it creamy. Food and drink video creators are notorious cheaters!

@@Andrelour I managed to get almost the same result by putting a little bit of condensed milk with high fat count into the coffee. It works and it tastes great!

During the "blooming" phase (that 30 second part where you're letting the coffee soak up the water), putting water in the lid underneath helps stop coffee leaking through.

Southeast Asian foods can be very unhealthy and they consume tons of sugar, they add sugar to ice cream !!!! and those tea and coffee drinks!! Sugar goes in them 3 times...it's serious competition to Starfucks Frapps and ice blended offerings😮😮😮
