I think most of us are a bit jealous of your setup. Really beyond superlatives, truly hard to describe. First impressions are lasting impressions. Color coordinated everything. I don't drive a Mercedes, I do drive a Maserati Gt in similar color to your ride. I would hate to have to write a check to cover all the costs. Thank you for sharing.

3 things: 1. Damned little space over the lounger, 2. I´m happy that I´m not the one who has to separate the trailer from the truck if this is required sometimes... and 3. Excellent craftmanship - damned well done, without any question - The Dutchmen had always already a damned good hand at trucks - and often enough even a better one than the Germans *respect!* Honor whom honor is due. 👍😉👊 Sincerely from a German trucker.

I'm not a lorry driver, but I want this set-up! Both lorry and trailer!! The modifications are superb! It looks really nice inside and moreover, is practical! That should make long journeys far more pleasant.

The cab looks like it includes many of the amenities that a cab-forward HGV with a sleeper berth often includes.

Wat een prachtige combinatie geworden. En dat het tijd kost dat heb ik zelf ook mogen ondervinden. Al dat specifieke werk kost nu eenmaal tijd. Maar het resultaat is er top!!! Nog even geduld op de container unit. Daar ben ik ook wel erg nieuwsgierig naar.

Amo 💜 los camiones desde mis 17 años ya tenía licencia profesional carga pesada, realizando viajes con trayecto de 2.000 km con retorno luego con el tiempo los viajes fueron más largos hasta realizar 7.000km la vuelta dentro de la semana y anexar licencia cargas peligrosas.. desde 2011 por accidente laboral y prescripción médica más 2 cirugías de columna tuve que dejar de efectuar lo que realice como trabajo con tanta pasión ❤!! To me, the most important and impressive feature of that entire rig, is the "Active Steer" Tag axle on tractor! I have 45FT RVs that have either Active or Passive Steer tags. Freightliner & Spartan Stripped Class A Motorhome Chassis have Passive Steer, while Newell Coach has Active just like that tractor of yours. I've never seen an Active Steer tag on a tractor till just now!

I understand why passive steering was used in the past, and is still used on trailers, but with recent technology it seems obvious to actively steer the axle for minimum scrub and maximum operating convenience.

Beautiful Mercedes Benz semi truck after modification, love such extreme made over. For the rams, should have two detachable crosses bars to holding rams in stable function once car or vehicle climbing up flat bed.

de ervaring begint er een beetje in te komen met hoe zo'n gevaarte voorwaarts en achterwaarts te rijden. Bravo!! en natuurlijk een vete Build!!! zie hem nu nog graag met de container en bill board als compleet. maar voor nu al 110% dik

Toch een dijk van een Truck hé. Hoewel ik eigenlijk een Scania zoveel mooier vind, mag jou Merc er echt wel zijn hoor. Schitterende kleurencombi trouwens. Enig klein detail misschien, het licht in de cabine had misschien rood of blauw mogen zijn ipv paars/roze, maar dat kan je misschien nog aanpassen aan hoe je je voelt ;-). Kijk er naar uit om de volledige combi eens live te zien. Heel veel veilige Kms gewenst alleszins!! Top Project, Bart!!

Could have done with opening windows in the sleeper. Especially on down times while loading away from home.

My apologies if this has already been covered by another comment or in another video... but why is the axle spacing so long on the trailer? Is this required by your road regulations for the axle load?

Ja, d8 ik ook aan, dit lijkt mij toch wel een dikke kanshebber in het 'special' klassement.

Is the truck's tag (rear-most) axle castering ("self-steering"), or it is connected to the steering system?

A long-haul transport cabin should be like that even with more travel equipped features like Longline Scanias or the VNL Volvos interiors. But. Unfortunately, in europe politicians and transport e companies think more about volume of the freight and trailers rather than the driver comfort.

Ziet er strak uit Bart.... fantastisch..... ben erg benieuwd als alles klaar is... zal zeker geen teleurstelling worden..... kijk weer uit naar de volgende vlog...

Eu sempre confiei na Mercedes,desde o 1113 ate3 1938. Pois rodei 1 milhão e 350 km no 38. So trocando pastilhas de freio ,óleo e o esticador de correas que depois foi aperfeisoando,só Alegria

Vind de oplossing van de platen maar matig. En dan ook nog voor aan de aanhanger opgeslagen.... Platen lijken ook maar aan de smalle kant. Klein beetje sturen en je ligt er naast met je autootje

Je loopt als eerste langs die kist als je uitgestapt bent. Spanden in de kist bij de motorwagen, ten behoeve van de aanhangwagen, vind ik vreemder. Wat betreft die spanbanden: gewoon bij Tijhof van die echte kopen die je over de band legt en aantrekt. Niks gedoe met dat kruislings monteren achter de velg.

Maybe consider marking the position of the ramps on the trailer to get them at the correct width every time?

some stripes go a long way. that way the car is also always centered on the trailer. Also for backing into the spot at home, put some marks where the trailer tires should go, that way it is easy to tell how you are doing before you have it backed in all the way. does the truck have a hitch camera? that would make hooking up easier if you can't back up to it straight. Here in the US many pick-ups now have those. Truck looks great, interior too, and the trailer is also nice. may just need a small winch, in case the car doesn't run.....
