No. They ruled that he didn't have the ability to declare blanket forgiveness without the approval of Congress. Everything he's done since has been either establishing new forgiveness plans through already approved avenues or aggressively pressuring loan servicers to make sure they were discharging loans when appropriate. Quite a few of the loans being forgiven were actually due to be wiped out years ago, but the programs were hamstrung by Betsy DeVos last administration.

One person purposely withheld and hid documents from the FBI, lied about them. The other person willfully allowed them to be retrieved when first asked. The records department needs to take lessons from a library on how to keep track of who has what, and charge late fees.

@@mattst88 Well, you are simply wrong. We don't pledge allegiance to a "democracy?" We pledge allegiance to a Republic. The democratic process is used to elect a Constitutional Republic. Period. These words are unfortunately used interchangeably as if they mean the same thing. But if you ask our european colleagues, they understand clearly what a democracy is and it is different.

The constitution limits the powers of the Legislature Executuve & Judicial branches. Read the 51 constitutions. They clearly state we are a republic. Not a democracy.

SCOTUS primarily interprets the laws and the Constitution. It does not create laws; that is the role of Congress. Immunity for any former or current President is not a blanket law but is subject to legal interpretations and specific circumstances.

They're not. They literally said the President has immunity while enacting his official duties...as the President. That means if they try to embezzle money out of the country or go rob a bank, they would still be arrested. You *can't* hold the President legally liable for something like...taking documents home. If you make them legally liable for their official duties...then you make it impossible for any President to ever deliver an order during a war. When they have to make life and death decisions that impact the WORLD, it would be incredibly, INCREDIBLY stupid to construct a scenario that could have them hesitant over a fear of incarceration. Maybe democracy is in danger when one party tries to remove a political opponent from the ballot and uses the DOJ and IRS to go after political opponents or maybe the fbi lies on warrants to investigate a political campaign.
