You took the time to beat one of the hardest quests on MH history and still took the time to edit the clip and add your own special flair and make the fight even more cinematic than it already was. I know the amount of time spent editing is probably significantly less compared to the time it takes to actually take down this monster, but it's still just really cool to see the commitment you bring to making your videos more than just speedruns. Absolutely incredible Lynn!

Props for this fight, he is the hardest monster in the game for hammer imo Also after watching it all, damn does he speed up as the fight goes on, it gives you barely any time to actually get good damage in, I feel like strength hammer will struggle hardcore here, and one more thing, your song choice is beyond amazing dialga's theme in pmd2 and dark Bowser's theme from inside story got me good, wonderful, just wonderful, congrats fellow bonk friend

hammer is among the worst weapons dps wise in risebreak from what ive been told. To casually beat risen ex shaggy in 10 mins 0 carts with it, is BEYOND impressive. mans isnt even using the max hp petalace either.

I appreciate the existence of this fight so much. It's such an obscenely difficult fight, but it's also totally optional and doesn't lock anything behind it (it's not required for completionism or anything) which imo makes it perfectly fine. It's just there for the people who have been wanting a SERIOUS challenge and major bragging rights, and you don't have to worry about missing out on anything by not doing it. People who don't wanna fight it simply do not have to, and with zero worries. I've heard too many people say MH is too easy (especially as of recent,) so I'm very glad the devs delivered something to really crush those claims now. This really is a ridiculous challenge fight done right. Amazing performance Lynn, definitely showing all my friends this historical run.

This is extremely exciting to watch, gets me pumped to reach this part of Sunbreak!

I’ve grinded about 50 of these guys on a one faint quest in the forlorn arena with similar time restrictions to level up my AR, and killed a fair few of the ex ones. I know in my bones that when i eventually level this quest up to 300 doing it as a special will me my ultimate accomplishment. But also ggs man and i like the shifting themes between chaotic, gore and shaggy. EX shaggy isthe hardest fight in the game rn so i could imagine it being super tough w even further hyperboosted stats. But also ggs man! Great run. Even with NPCs and good enough RNG, my CB run is just about 9 mins ish. Personally, I think this one is hardest right now, not include un-release Malzeno variant. Thank you very much. Not it's not from Final Fantasy but you're not far, the name of the track is "The Grand Finale" from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside story, which was composed by Yoko Shomomura, who did work on the FF and KH series.

Might easily be my fav MH content creator around here. Kudos for that amazing fight! You deserve an ingame award just for you and you alone, lol.

Great run as usual! Cannot wait for Sunbreak on PS5. I'm gonna get beatdown. The last update I played was Risen Chameleons and Violet Mizitsune on Switch. Haven't fought a single new monster passed that. This is going to be an adjustment. The fact that you said this is the hardest quest to date of any Monster Hunter scares me

Fantastic fight! There was so much going on here. I can't even beat normal Risen Shagaru with my hammer; I've had to go full tank build on Lance to get through it. I don't know if i'm ever going to get to AR 300 (currently at 237), but knowing that this fight is THAT hard gives me something to look forward to if I ever get that tough.

I know this is an old video, but I just seeing it now. Gonna send this to my boyfriend for inspiration, since he adores Rise's hammer. You are an inspiration for me already and I can't wait what great content you'll cook for us when Wilds drop. Stay awesome, Bonk Queen!

What an amazing achievement and a treat to watch. It must've been soul-crushing being pummeled until you found the flow the fight and a build tailored for the job. The damage, size, range, combos etc. everything is too Gog darn big! Funnily enough, I just so happened to have rolled an EE2 Talisman right before my first attempt at the quest and have only ever faced and beaten (after 2 triple carts) regular Risen Shaggy using it slapped on a Dragon CB build with max Guard and Guard Up. Can't imagine how painful the fight must be without it and I don't think I want to find out...

For hammer risen shagaru is hands down the worst matchup in this game. Mainly due to his tendency to block his head with the forearms making approaching from the front the only way to get to him which is the fastest way to eat a cart. EE2 is a must have for me as a hammer.

You're so strong ! It's insane bro. I think even with the Best set, I won't make it ! I did a lot of hardest quests in my hunter life and I never thought that a quest was impossible. But this quest makes me Wonder I leave you a like and a sub for this accomplishment 🎉🔥 (Sry for my bad english xD)

great hunt :) I personally love this fight so much. One of the fights that still gets me really excited and on edge. Only complaint I have is that his pound combo followed up by the frenzy explosions clutter the screen sometimes too much. When I play Lance I pretty much have to time/guess my insta-blocks without even seeing him doing his next pound but other then that it's perfect imo. (oh and it can get a little annoying getting to his head after some moves) I'm just a little worried that the Varient of Malzeno won't live up to the special versions of Valstrax and Shagaru, but oh well we'll see once it comes out I guess.

So the reason is a bit complicated. Risen Shagaru can be toppled out of its Risen mode during a KO, and I didn't want that to happen too early by dealing too much damage during the KO. It's kind of a stupid reasoning since after that KO Shagaru started moving and doing shenanigans again, so looking back that wasn't a great decision.

It’s gonna take some serious dedication for me to clear the special inv quest for this monster lol. The regular quest already took more tries to solo clear than IB fatalis and the EX’s and 140’s I’ve done, so yea…good times await!

Haven't made a set specifically for Silkbind Spinning Bludgeon yet but I don't think it'll need Frenzied Bloodlust, Wind Mantle and/or Wirebug Whisperer should be enough because it's a silkbind attack that recharges quickly.

First monster I ever seem whit two enhances stages plus nice bonkin Lynn :3 Edit: a huge step up for whats suppose to be a new born elder dragon.

I ended up grinding a 25 min Riz-Shagaru investigation up to 300 as my first ever Special Investigation. I think it's a better fight if you get very used to it (by _only_ doing Risen Shagaru). Beat it in 16 mins with 2 carts first try, but getting here was a loooong journey. I have like 60 of his risegems now.

Awesome fight. Would like to see the build.

"Dialga's Fight to the Finish!" from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time.

Would you say you have the fight on lock now? I am not happy to say I truly detest this fight. I wanted to like it so bad as Gore/Shagaru are some of my favs in the series, but the fight is just a miserable experience for me. I feel like I could eventually pull off a no faint run but with how endlessly frustrating it is I don't know if I'd want to. Either way congrats on the victory, certainly couldn't have been easy.

I take pictures of her ingame and just manually cut her in Photoshop. I do it with the lasso tools in order to get maximum details, it takes longer but I don't like using the auto-select tools.

For the first phases I just mixed 4 tracks: Gore Magala's themes from MH4 and Sunbreak, and Shagaru Magala and Chaotic Magala's themes from Sunbreak. For the second phase I used the track "Dialga's Fight to the Finish!" from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time. For the last phase I used "The Grand Finale" from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. The quest complete theme is "Time Restored" from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time as well.

Hello lynn, this maybe a noob question but I noticed that you're able to save the charge level after rolling. Is there a method to that, or you used a specific skill? Great performance btw, my normal solo hammer shagaru always end up more than 20 mins, can't imagine doing this one....

With Courage Hammer only, if you press the roll button RIGHT as you reach a level 2 or 3 Charge, you can roll once without losing the charge. Rolling anytime later than that, you will lose the charge.

Really wish special investigations gave actual rewards. Same for apex monsters. Missed opportunity big time. Also, why did we never get a quest with special investigation risen cham,teo,kush, valstrax and shaggy. Would've been a cool throwback to the quest called "the five kings of destruction" from mhx.

I gotta ask what display settings or reshade you're using, it looks so cinematic and stylized!

When I first saw this video, i was so excited to get my research rank up just to fight this. Not gonna lie, after all the hype surrounding this fight and its difficulty, and all the claims from many people that it's the hardest fight in the series, I was really, really disappointed when I beat it on my first attempt with 1 cart.

@@KyloB Congrats, that is impressive. I don't know how IG fairs in this matchup at all but going without any help is still ballsy, I still think this is the hardest/tedious monster in the game due to lack of openings/very bad hitzones

@@dynamo_lynn You have a lot more openings with IG, though if I'm being honest I don't play other weapons. Have about 12k hunts or so with IG since 4U and haven't looked back 🤣 I found it to be pretty consistent to make use of being airborne for a lot of his explosions, you can get sneaky wyvern dives on the head without having to move around the explosions or his wing arms that tend to shield his head from the sides. I think my personal main take away now that I've had a bit of time to sit and think about it, is that the entire grind levelling it up had a pretty significant impact. I had to level the quest almost 100 times before hitting lv300, and unlocking the special investigation. At that point it felt like essentially the same thing with more health, and aside from it taking longer, felt more or less like business as usual, so it probably makes me a bit biased. Now... had that special investigation version been my first experience with a risen shagaru magala, well, I think I'd still be stuck on it.

Easy home litmus test to tell if you're an autistic mid-2000s kid: "Did the surprise Dialga's Fight to the Finish make you start tearing up?" I'm not gonna lie, I'm not super compelled regarding the Special Investigations since there's no reward for them, but I feel obligated after this run and how much effort it took you to at least try. Gotta honor that respect I put on you somehow. This fight gives me, like, the same vibes I do trying to play FF14 hardcore nowadays, which is to say 'holy shit it feels like the devs do not playtest some jobs/weapons'. I don't know how hammer copes with this fight and I just watched you do it for 12 minutes, and it gives me intense bitter dread. You are now imagining trying to do this again on Hunting Horn and how much of a fucking nightmare that would be. You're welcome.

I think the main changes are Wingarm Slams have extra explosions to the side Most frenzy clouds explode faster Nuke attack has 2 rings of rotating pillars instead of 1 Has new combos when near death (triple arm slam into reposition then Laser is death) And some attacks just have upgrades in general

EX is mostly quicker with some moves or phase transitions. He also does some attacks he usually only does when the normal ver. is enraged. Oh and his Frenzy explosions are bigger.

Great fight, I attemped a TA solo, non Palico run here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oXtsqryrfLnFdco.html I feel like Iceborne Fatalis is still harder under the same condition. But again I might have gotten good after I slog through that. And CB is just a bad matchup in general.

I dunno about that...simply clearing it aint too bad with shielded weapons, since embolden 3 with guard 5, just straight up ignores literally all attacks and chip except for his nuke. I attempted lvl 140 Apex Zin/Apex Raj mission with Gunlance, couldn't clear it after 2 weeks of around 3 hour attempts (dont have that much time to play) so around 42 hours, and simply accepted that im too trash of a player to solo it, however, I waltzed into special investigation risen shaggy on 25 min timer, normal 3 deaths solo, and cleared it on second attempt with gunlance.
