Teen IE workbook: www.amazon.com/Intuitive-Eati...
Intuitive eating website: www.intuitiveeating.org/
Elyse wrote a teen workbook to appeal to teens but also our inner teenager; IE speaks to our need for autonomy
Intuitive Eating: is it a method for weight loss?
How does IE work if you don’t have reliable hunger and fullness cues?
Elyse reveals how she’d change up the principles for a future edition of the book
What is “future deprivation”?
Stef’s favorite principle: Respect Your Body and how it applies to this work
What about highly processed foods?
How do you get to Gentle Nutrition (and/or Gentle Movement)?
Interoception: what is it and how do you develop it?
IE is not just instinct! It’s “a dynamic interplay of instinct, emotion, and thought.” Different parts of the brain are present to give us different pieces of information.
What if I binged at night and I’m not hungry in the morning? Will my body think I’m restricting if I don’t eat?
How to say No to food but not in a restrictive way?
I feel sad when I have to stop eating
Eating without distractions
Did Elyse expect IE to get so big?

Such a fantastic video. I've been nodding my head "Yes" all the way through! The very idea that my ED is my body fighting back from the abuse I've/diet culture put on me for decades, and is in actuality my friend/hero takes my breath away. It allows me to feel willing and even able to be gentle and accept all that I've been through. Stef said it on FB the other day and it really struck me, and I'm hearing it here too. I feel love for that part of me, I think for the very first time. It's NOT my fault! Thank you all so much.

😯 So good video! 😊 Thank you so much ladies ❤ Very good guest! I know this is going to sound silly but I am a fan of colours. The color combination of your rooms looks beautiful (purpule, green, vanilla/white.) I am like a butterfly enjoying the colors and happily listening to your content 😂😂😂

Unfortunately I can’t keep processed food at home. At some point I will indulge in them.
