Special 1970 SS396 Chevelle Tracked To A Small Shed In Tennessee
This Chevelle is now the earliest “known” 1970 Chevelle SS built at the Atlanta, Georgia assembly plant to surface to date. The 825th unit at the Lakewood assembly plant 1970 model production run was hiding for years in Tennessee. The car was purchased new in Tullahoma, TN and relocated to Michigan for few years before coming back to TN to hide.

I have a 70 chevelle sports coupe done the same way. Early model with the chrome under the head lights etc..it’s a Canadian built car. Living in upstate New York it’s a true survivor. Love seeing the real SS cars knowing that’s what mine was cloned from. Real SS or not I smile everyday I look in the garage 👍 thanks Patrick
Home during Covid-19 watching Patrick's barn finds. Great way to spend the time learning about one of my favorite muscle cars!
I've learned a lot about distinguishing these chevelles from originals to clones and everything in between. Keep up the good work Patrick! Thanks
It's in amazing condition. Beautiful - would love to hear it rumble.
I always love your content Patrick Glenn Nichols! Thank you for showing us all these rare gems and hidden beauties! You are appreciated my friend!

Patrick. Thank you very much. I really enjoy your videos.
I've always loved Chevelles. My dad has a numbers matching red 1970 Chevelle SS with a 396/4 speed out of the Kansas City plant.
Patrick this is a pretty darn cool car! Thanks for sharing with us! Looking forward to the next video!
Good find man. Always nice to see you in your element.
Great job documenting on this super nice SS Patrick. I absolutely love the 1970 SS in white, one of my most favorite colors offered. Agreed, not every car needs a full frame off restoration, just a freshen up while keeping all original parts intact. I saw a 1970 SS that was for sale a couple months ago that was white with black stripes and red interior. Would have loved to seen you break that one down and see what was original and what was added. Again, love your content, keep it coming.
Gorgeous Car. Thank you Patrick.
Thanks Patrick!!!
My oldest brother owned a white with black vinyl top red interior 390hp 454 4spd 70 SS that I learned to drive in 35 years ago. I own a 71 Malibu 400 and a 70 SS Clone today because of this awesome muscle car. Thanks for your dedication to the history and information about these great cars Patrick!
Excellent video love you embrace and document originality and history of the old Chevelle’s .
A beautiful and unusual color combo! Thanks phor sharing PGN.
How beautiful is it is, congrats to the owner.
Thanks Patrick!
Great Video as always Patrick! I truly appreciate how knowledgeable you are on the 70 SS Chevelle. Also agree it will be extremely tough to find a earlier car from Atlanta then that one! Could be the first 70 SS Chevelle built at Alanta.

No I have proof of an earlier one but the car isn’t known. I have the engine with 10A100454 T0916CTW which is solid proof of a 70SS.
This guy knows his stuff Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice early 70 chevelle ss , thank you .
Another great video. I believe that I have watched 90% of your videos. Even though some cars are badly restored or molested, it is always great to not see them rotting away in a field. I have learned alot from you. I spotted those errors under the hood quickly. Kinda makes me grin to know that I am a little dangerous with such 70 SS Chevelle knowledge you have given me. 😂🤣

Great Job On those Videos. Just love the education and knowledge you have attained over the years. Love the White with the Black Vinyl top.
Agreed all don't restoring flaws are better appreciated to see what they really looked like in the production year!

Well done Patrick Glenn Nichols!! Your knowledge is priceless dude!! Rock on!! That is also a very fine of a very early produced Chevelle with it flaws!! Nothing is perfect! Especially from the factory!!

Great find Patrick! Incredible insight, thanx for posting. I wish someone could do this type of thing for 69 vettes.
Put the points distributor and petronix it, just as good as HEI , and call done. That's a great Chev 💪
I had a 71 Chevelle... sure do miss that car!
I live in Lake City Florida, a Guy from my Gym in the early 2000s had a 1970 Tuxedo Black Triple Black LS6 454 convertible he drove it every day I never seen a car like that before it has to be super rare, I'm not sure what became of it it was Holy Grail chevelle

@@kevinkendall3122 possibly, he had it for a few years, got hooked on steroids, did some stupid things and made some bad choices, went to prison. I don't know if it God sold or if the state got it, either way it was an absolute monster I was privileged to have seen it 'll those years, it's rare to see a car like that driven every day, but I guess back in the early 2000s they weren't 250,000.00 cars yet
My dad's first ever new car was a white 71 Malibu with a black vinyl top and black bench interior and a 307. A few months later i got my licence and he let me drive it ONCE. Had it for an hour. I bet he drank a twelve pack of PBR's in that time span. Poor guy.
Kills me how these cars basically just sit there, and watching there life just go away..

I love it, I had a Black with White Stripe 70 SS 402, TH-400, A/C all extras. I regret the day I got rid of it to this Day!!! My car was built at the Kansas City plant as I am told, it had the squared off edges on the stripes.
My favorite color scheme for this car. A neighbor had one just like this one except it was a convertible.

Super nice SS. 👍👍
My uncle bought a 70 ls6 white/black stripe vinyl top car. A friend of my dad owns it now. It’s apart going to get restored
Thumbs up to Patrick again!!!!, Top dude where does he find these motors????.
White with black stripes is my favorite on a 70 ss.
I had a 67 SS396, first new car, and sold it in 1970 to buy a house. Have wondered if possible to find it all these years later but don't know what's the first step. Just wonder if it still exists. Without the VIN or other documents I guess it would be impossible, no? 1967 SS396, 4 speed, posi, am radio, bucket seats, Granada gold inside and out .
I like your position on"restored" cars...They're original only once.As far as "restored" cars go,how many of them are actually correctly restored? Too many people use the term"restored" in the wrong way."Refurbished" or "re-habed" is more like it. Like Patrick says,we need to embrace the flaws that an original car presents...There are fewer left every day.
Nice car.... I wish I had one.. 👌👌👌✋✋
Very nice.
Only a Very few People would care that the Tires & Radiator Cap are Not Original, unless the Guy advertised it to be everything from the Factory, i Have a Friend that Has a 71' SS with all Original except one Spark plug wire that was changed, His dad Bought it New when he died it had 17,000 miles, his son put it in the garage drives it a few times a yr in the summer... it has 19,000 now
Be neat if you could start them up.love the color combo
Nice car you don’t see many 70 chevelles in white. Looks nice with the black stripes and vinyl top
I keep getting older and they stay the same age!
Patrick, You are obviously the most knowledgeable person when it comes to Chevelles. My question here is, I know I've heard this several times before, but with this being such an early production car, is the motor an actual 396? By that I mean not the actual 402 that most 70-72 SS 396 cars, being .30 over bored 396 blocks.
Far and wide car enthusiast cringe when they see a Vinyl top.... And they can definitely change the outcome of an older car if not cared for... But damn, it makes this car. It reminds me why I need to put the one back on my car.... Nice ride....
Sure nice to see this car survived
