Woah. When I saw 50m I assumed you were somewhere where it's legal to spearfish on scuba - freedive spearfishing at that depth is absolutely incredible!

In south africa it is not legal to use scuba or any scuba apparatus - I believe he is using a portable bailout bottle

@@questray1i think he uses a drop weight and has minimal weight on his weight belt so the ascent is easier

That is next level! Dive down to 51m and still hang around to shoot a fish!

Beautiful move with that last Jewfish (as we call them in Australia) - the shoal was spooked but you stayed calm and turned the other way and viola. Amazing at 51m well done mate.

Unreal as usual Jaco. Great to see you still at it and 51m is quite the dive.

Thanks Daniel, great visibility for South Africa. Sure can talk about my guns: Inverter 1m woody was home made and the second gun was a prototype salt reflex muzle and a prototype 1.1 home made barrel with a mares handel 🙂

As much as I enojoy watching these vids - I always hope not too push the divers over their edge. Adrenalin and fame can be a toxic mixture down at -51m. Stay safe guys and good luck.

Absolutely love watching this. I do some diving (scuba) in Sweden. It’s like meditation, never been down to 50 meters though. Insane how you can free dive to that depth…

You can do it.

-50 for freediving is hard enough, your are holding breath and aim for stoneshot and landing, you are beyond my imagination. this is extremely dangerous! i don’t see a buddy watching you for blackout, please be safe! respect!
