This marlin was cut up and filleted and will provide many meals for us. We will not waste any. Smoked meat here we come! We fish for food and not just the hunt.

Amazing catch!My only comment is that one need to be careful about wrapping up lines when pulling a fish. A 172lbs marlin, even if seemingly dead, can pull you down in a flip of a second (I nearly watched a friend of mine drown, being pulled by a 100lbs amberjack). Otherwise fantastic video
