I've been hearing good things about Speakly and appreciate your timely video. Eduardo likes the idea of learning words, but working through comprehensive lessons has its' advantages also. Overall, I like Babbel's lesson structure and think I'll go with it. Eduardo wants to improve him Portuguese for business purposes in Brazil. Thanks.

Heyo! Like the background music you added :D. I would personally only use Speakly for increasing vocabulary, It doesn't seem that it would give you enough to really learn a language, it more preps you have light conversations when traveling. Actually I think it would be a nice little app for traveling vs a full blown "I want to learn and understand" language course. But it's pricing would need to be attractive. There is a free app similar in concept called Anki and although it doesn't look as nice or has as many features, you could use it in the same manner.

Thank you for your review! I just signed up for a 7-day free trial of Speakly 4 days ago, and like you said, it's more about learning words, than actual sentences that you can start using on a day-to-day basis. I might try Babbel again. I'm looking forward to your review on Ouino Languages before I take the plunge and buy that language learning program.

Thank you such for all your review videos! Today is New Year's Day.. 🎉 One of my goals for this year is to speak perfect German by the end of 2024. That's important to me because I moved to Germany. A lifetime membership with a language app would help me enormously in achieving my goal, so I would like to participate in the raffle. Thanks again & all the best for 2024! ❤

I am in love with my Girlfriend of almost 2 years. She is half Hispanic, and uses only Spanish when hanging out with her dad’s side of the family. We both graduated college only a year ago, so most of our time and money is spent working off our student loans. I would love to be able to communicate with her family without breaking the bank! I love the videos! And fingers crossed I get selected!

I'm starting to think there is no single product that can get me to intermediate +level of fluency, and I need to create my own hybrid curriculum using multiple programs. Between speakly and babble, I'd go with babble based on this review. I'll still download speakly to try for myself. I'm learning French because I've been on and off since high school, and it just feels like a natural 3rd language. I already speak Igbo, and the muscle memory for Igbo helps with French. French is musical, and I adore musical languages

I personally tried out Babbel to study Russian language and I liked the tempo and material to the point I bought the lifetime subscription however, It's really disappointing considering how short the course was, I would honestly never bought it if I knew Babbel did not put more effort and development into it. based on that, I would not recommend a single app (holy grail) without considering that every person and their target language would be different. Even though Lingodeer is recommended for Asian languages like Chinese/Japanese/Korean but I found their Russian course to be of high value. Also Speakly's Russian course was amazing plus the Music (listening) + Story telling + conversation dialogues for every level.

Thanks for sharing. I‘m approaching the end of babbel‘s 20 day money back window and just discovered speakly which I really like so far. My main issue with babbel is that lessons feel really boring, slow paced and extremely redundant to a point where you just don‘t bother typing the words you just identified correctly for the 10th time. And then there‘s three lessons ob the same topic. Does it get better at any point? If not I already know that I won‘t have enougj motivation to use babbel regularly. I‘m also learning Russian and I saw babbel only offers a beginners course…

@@xcvxc1338 I stopped using Babbel (Russian) because the course is incomplete and stops around Beginner 1 level, since I have the lifetime subscription I might use it for other complete languages one day like the Spanish and German, but as for Russian course in contrast with Speakly, the app uses a completely different approach where you get the most relevant vocabs, sentences, grammar, and listening exercises used in our daily life, and it cover pretty much all levels to advanced, I love the story telling and Live-situations the most, I supplement that with podcasts (immersion), I think the only underrated other app that come close is probably Memrise.

Tried both, Babbel+ is boring, and Speakly is more interesting, but you have to know the basics. I suugest to start with babbel al least A1 level and then go to Speakly.

I’m fascinated by the comments on this channel. Is there some kind of incentive driving people to leave all of these similar sort of generic praises? It feels unnatural, or like a completely different platform Ah shoot I realize it may be a bunch of non native English speakers and that’s what seems peculiar. I mean no offense by it, sorry
