Of late we are seeing several incidents of shootings and deaths in USA. May I request you to make a video on “who should possess arms “ as described in vedas and puranas . There is a sarga in Valmiki Ramayana where in there is detailed dialogue between Sitaji and Ramaprabhu when Mataji asks bhagawan Rama as to why he is carrying arms when he is not required to carry them in vanavas. This is an appeal to you as you are widely read and a very good communicator of facts and clear analysis.

9:21 Professor Arindam Chakraborty, from the esteemed Hawaii University, expounded upon the existence of democratic practices in ancient India during his captivating lecture delivered at Vidyasagar University in Bengali language in the preceding year. It was through these historical practices that the concepts of Sabha (सभा) and Sadas (सदस्) emerged. Furthermore, it is noteworthy to mention that Gopala, the visionary Bengali figure behind the establishment of the Pala Empire, ascended to the throne by virtue of being elected by numerous feudal lords of Bengal during that era.

If you look at ancient lndus vallay civilization there were big community kitchens and mass eating rooms. A family which eats together stays together. Rig v3da is also specific that only through knowledge and tendencies one becomes Brammon, not through blood or nepotism. Equality and equity both existed in that society. Maitreyi The Rig Veda contains about one thousand hymns, of which about 10 are accredited to Maitreyi, the woman seer, and philosopher. She contributed towards the enhancement of her sage-husband Yajnavalkya's personality and the flowering of his spiritual thoughts. Yajnavalkya had two wives Maitreyi and Katyayani. While Maitreyi was well versed in the Hindu scriptures and was a 'brahmavadini', Katyayani was an ordinary woman. One day the sage decided to make a settlement of his worldly possessions between his two wives and renounce the world by taking up ascetic vows. He asked his wives their wishes. The learned Maitreyi asked her husband if all the wealth in the world would make her immortal. The sage replied that wealth could only make one rich, nothing else. She then asked for the wealth of immortality. Yajnavalkya was happy to hear this and imparted Maitreyi the doctrine of the soul and his knowledge of attaining immortality

@@ananthan8951 As per NCERT books the Qutb Minar was built by Qutb-ud-Din around 1199 to 1220. After PN Oak's Tejo Mahalaya thesis, many so-called medieval monuments started being re-looked in a new light. Stones that were broken off from the Qutb complex were seen to have Ganesha carvings on one side and Quranic inscriptions on the reverse. An ex-Regional Director of the Archaeological Survey of India has claimed that the Qutb complex predates Qutb-ud-Din by centuries. The Govt has ordered ASI to do a re-survey of the Qutb complex. Overall, ASI is a poorly managed governmental organization that does little or no research. There are hundreds of scientific papers in archaeological journals on monuments such as the Notre Dame in France, the Sphinx / Egyptian pyramids etc. How many papers can one find on Indian monuments? I could find less than 10 on the Taj Mahal and most were social science nonsense. Where are the papers that deal with the mineralogy of the materials, provenance analysis, isotope dating, etc? Is there a Ground penetrating radar survey ever done? Is this not the ASI's job to do so? PN Oak may have gone overboard with some of his claims. But he was living in an era where Marxist historians ruled the roost and there was little or no scientific evidence to bank upon. Till ISRO did remote sensing surveys in the deserts of Rajasthan and found the palaeochannels of the Saraswati, the consensus was that the Rigvedic Saraswati was the Amu Darya / Helmand in Afghanistan. Today, Indian archaeologists are digging everywhere across these palaeochannels and finding more and more settlements that pre-date the original Mohenjodaro and Harappa.

Regarding the Taj Mahal, there is a video it’s up on KZread of a noted American architect, who spent many years, studying the Taj Mahal, who shows that it was not a temple though, but was originally a palace. For example, there are many many rooms in it that would be more indicative of a palace than a mausoleum.

Mr. Misra, I was very impressed with first 18 minutes of your talk. But then in last two minutes you turned 180 degrees towards very disappointing. There is no other context for the word Arya than to mean a noble person performing good deeds. You have misrepresented the Vedic meaning of Jaati and Varna. Listen to your words in the last, the 20th minute about what a good Academic should do. On this most important aspect in which caste and race were inserted into Hindu awareness by the Europeans, you fall short to be a good academic. In context of this manipulated aspect of race, I consider you to be no different from that idiot from Harvard University, Michael Witzel or his similar local cohorts such as Habib or Thapar. Why I reject your false claims about the meaning of Jaati? All experienced Geneticist say there is no such thing as different races. Ethnicities occurred based on Latitude, Altitude, and food and climatic conditions humans lived in. Before readers highly impressed by your take is upset, they should read the following facts from Vedic study: There is absolutely no element of hatred or discrimination in Vedas regarding any person - be he or she a Brahmin, Vaishya, Kshatriya or Shudra. The concept of caste is relatively new. Vedas contain no word that can be considered a synonym for 'race' or ‘caste’. The two words commonly considered to mean ‘caste’ or 'race' are Jaati and Varna. However the truth is that, all these words mean completely different things. Caste and race are European innovations having no semblance in Vedic culture. JAATI Jaati means a classification based on source of origin. Nyaya Sutra states “Samaanaprasavaatmika Jaatih” or those having similar birth source form a Jaati. An initial broad classification made by Rishis is 4-fold: Udbhija (coming out of ground like plants), Andaja (coming out of eggs like birds and reptiles), Pindaja (mammals) and Ushmaj (reproducing due to temperature and ambient conditions like virus, bacteria etc). Similarly, various animals like elephant, lion, rabbits etc. form different ‘Jaati’. In same manner, entire humanity forms one ‘Jaati’. A particular Jaati will have similar physical characteristics, cannot change from one Jaati to another and cannot cross-breed. Thus Jaati is creation of Ishwar or God. Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra are no way of different Jaati because there is no difference in source of birth or even physical characteristics to differentiate between them. Later, word ‘Jaati’ started being used to imply any kind of classification. Thus in common usage, we call even different communities as different ‘Jaati’. However that is merely convenience of usage. In reality, all humans form one single Jaati. VARNA The actual word used for Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra is ‘Varna’ and not Jaati. The word ‘Varna’ is used not only for these four, but also for Dasyu and Arya. ‘Varna’ means one that is adopted by choice. Thus, while Jaati is provided by God, ‘Varna’ is our own choice. Those who choose to be Arya are called ‘Arya Varna’. Those who choose to be Dasyu become ‘Dasyu Varna’. Same for Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra. That is why Vedic Dharma is called ‘Varnashram Dharma’. The word Varna itself implies that this is based on complete freedom of choice and meritocracy. Individuals based on their efforts in current lifetime can move from one Varna to other. But Jaati remains the same, that of a human. You, Mr. Misra, have advanced the works of the "racist" likes of Max Mueller and Mortimer Wheeler. You can flash all the dictionaries you want to justify but you should be ashamed of false claims in the last two minutes here. Arya in Sanskrit is ONLY in context of a noble character and NOT a distinct race.

Sir, Mughals used to employ some Hindu noble men not out of charity but out of sheer exigencies. There was no holds barred ambition among muslim noble men in the Court to grab as much power as they could and each of them considered himself a potential owner of the thrown. So they were threat to the king. Hindu noblemen were inducted into the royal court to mitigate that dangerous situation because they could never become a king there.

His quip about the word hindu being arabic is so as unhistoric as the RSS claiming taj mahal was built by a hindu. Jaljeera must have thought this is amazing! He was also so diligently peddling AIT, it was laughable. He even commented that there was evidence in sanskrit that Iran is the plural of "aryan land". But this merits a bit of actual description. Indeed Iran is the plural of the ṣaṣṭi vibhakti of the word of ārya. which in VSnskrt is "āryāṇam". This obviously evolved linguistically to "Airiianem", which is a part of the phrase "Airiianem Vaejeh" given in avestan which referred to original lands of "Airiie" as they knew it. One of them was mentioned to be "Hapta-Hendus" which is clearly a linguistic descendant of "Sapta sindhuṣ" which is also a name for uttarapatha in India. Hence, Iranian linguistic memory itself has traces of Indian Arya ancestors. This word "Airiianem" later became "Ērān" in old persian which became "Iran" in Farsi today. The word itself just means of 'possessive' Aryas. Fun fact: There are many regions in "Airiianem vaejeh" that aren't/weren't ever part of the Iranian state. Including many parts of Afghanistan that were followed forms of hinduism during avestan/pre-avestan times. One of these names was "Harahvaiti", a linguistic descendant of "saraswati". Wonder O wonder where that came from!

I don't know if a so-called "prominent" historian makes so many claims and says things which suits a certain narrative rather than trying to establish facts as per sources available, then why use "prominent" before his name. I think we also need to check who made these historians prominent. One thing is for certain and no can deny is our culture, civilisation was one of the earliest and one of the most advanced, so anyone who tries to demoralize this sanatani dharma, has a certain agenda. Now the thing is due to this agenda there was not much research, much digging for historical records so that these agendas can be spread and if one tries to argue with it the very proofs would come from articles or books written by these very people with agendas.

Namaste Nityananda ji, I would request your view on the Sultanate period and the British period. Myself coming from the Hindi heartland as well, I personally feel that the preceding Sultanate period and the British period were far more barbaric and violent than the Akbar-Aurangzeb period, where the Mughal rule was at least somewhat stable if not some golden era. Also, Mughals never called themselves as Mughals, they called themselves as the lineage of Taimur. It was during the Sultanate era when pan-subcontinental destruction of temples and massacres, rapes happened and not as much during the Mughal era. The greatest hatred for Mughals is seen in Maharashtra and in Sikhs, for obvious reasons. And why is British genocide and violence in UP-Bihar in 1857 and post-1857 completely glossed over?

During Vedic era Iranians and Vedic Aryas does have links but the word Iran itself comes from Aryan (actually this suffix "n" is from Malayali culture/language?) seems far fetching. If Iran comes from Aryan then what about Iraq? it comes from Aryaq I guess.

Brother, Iran is indeed believed to come from "Arya", even by the Iranians themselves. The common usage goes back to before Pahlavi times. "of the Aryan's" will be a close translation.
